Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

ELP? Holy-? Last time I heard this, it was coming from my brother's 8 track..
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:42pm Lopez:

Dude no way. I was obsessed with this song in high school (Karn Evil 9). I still have the triple-LP live ELP at home I'm not too proud to say
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:42pm Stanley:

Is this really playing, or is it me?
  Tue. 5/13/14 3:42pm sonictooth:

i like this album title
  Tue. 5/13/14 3:42pm Ryan M.:

Me and Genesis had rounds of drinks with Joachim Witt when we were in Berlin last November. I think he was slightly bummed that we had no idea who the hell he was, our hosts had to explain that he was a famous 80's pop singer in Germany. He was a blast to hang with, drank with him for hours! They were part of this play performance thing together based around Maldaror.
Avatar Tue. 5/13/14 3:43pm Droll:

ELP pack more notes into this song than the rest of the show -- combined. Kudos for going prog!
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:43pm common:

I always thought this was the who when i was a kid.
  Tue. 5/13/14 3:44pm Kyle:

I played the grooves out of this one when I was a high school schnook. Still sounds good now that I'm an elderschnook!
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:44pm dc pat:

@common, for shame...wait, now that you mention it...
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:44pm Parq:

Okay, so we're agreed -- after all these decades, it is now okay to dig this track.
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:45pm DCE:

this would make a perfect intro to a noise set

  Tue. 5/13/14 3:46pm sonictooth:

Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:46pm Cheri Pi:

So...many...notes. WIll have to process them later while I'm in deep REM.
Avatar Tue. 5/13/14 3:47pm efd:

Come on Droll, we all know "Love Beach" is the best ELP song.
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:48pm dc pat:

I'll trade in all the ELP notes for just 3 Good Throb notes...
  Tue. 5/13/14 3:49pm P-90:

@ re: "Love Beach" Haha, you are killing me, that one was so best forgotten that I HAD forgotten it. -til you invoked it
Avatar Tue. 5/13/14 3:50pm Droll:

efd, Pete Sinfeld is responsible for that lyrical abomination. It's like the Anti-Tarkus:
We can make love on love beach
out of reach of the lion's claws tonight.
We can make love on love beach
I want your love, with the stars above
down on love beach

I'm gonna make love to you, on love beach
Make all your dreams come true, on love beach
Gonna make love to you, on love beach
Gonna make your dreams come true, on love beach
Gonna make love to you, on love beach...
Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 3:50pm Parq:

One day, our kids will be reacting this way to someone playing an old U2 track. Oh yes, they will.

Avatar    Tue. 5/13/14 4:33pm Cecile:
