Hullo, Brian! Thanks for that. I do indeed remember. I've since procured a copy of THE FREE, and its spine has been staring accusatorily at me from the nightstand ever since.

Jeff, I have just got some light Elias Canetti reading. I might be some time.

Watford returns your greetings. It is 17:17 here are you one hour or two ahead.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:20pm davex:

Hi, doca. Solo Jeffin' it today.
@ngh: Futuro Antico - a recent discovery (for us); really fab.

Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:29pm Brian in UK:

Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:41pm doca:

I've saw Thursday a São Paulo jazz band here in Porto Alegre in which the trombone guy also played didgeridoo. I've never heard it live, it makes a wonderful and powerful sound.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:45pm holland oats:

yo d:o! thx for spring cleaning soundtrack!
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:46pm listener james from westwood:

My new word for the day: normcore. I'm in style! Finally! Closet full of dreck!
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:54pm Brian in UK:

Jeff, got to see William Parker & Hamid Drake last week with John Dikeman. What a pair of lungs Mr Dikeman has on tenor & soprano.
However, I could not take my eyes off Hamid, he is special. Love trios because you have to work so hard but the rewards are worth it.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:55pm Gary:

This woman is effin kickin my @ss!
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:56pm Brian in UK:

Pay the ferryman.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:57pm Jeff Golick:

Yah @gary: you will then likely dig the a capella version that's available at the bandcamp link on the playlist...
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 12:58pm Gary:

I just read about the documentary / detective work they're doing ... super-thrills!
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:00pm Jeff Golick:

@Brian in UK: that sounds like a special night. Did you pick up any Wm Parker beforehand?
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:00pm Brian in UK:

Another rainbow. Cookin' set. Mid Seventies was prime time.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:00pm Jeff Golick:

@holland oats: belated holla/hola to you, sir!
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:02pm Jeff Golick:

@fleep: recently tried explaining the concept of "normcore" to someone, and we both ended up giggling like fools. It feels like the end-point of something-or-other...
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:04pm doca:

What a great set, Jeff.
Avatar Mon. 5/12/14 1:07pm doca:

Perfect for the spring-like autumn day here.
