"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Hi Sem! Yes, you'll have to hear the very beginning of the show later, a true moment of art and everlasting beauty.

@looms: high praise, indeed. Now on my must-do list for today.
  Wed. 2/5/14 6:51am Barrie:

Thanks for the slow music. Makes for a nice afternoon in Sweden stuck at home with the flu... the Duane Pitre was particularly excellent!
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 7:20am Looms:

@Sem: hope you're not gonna hate me...
Avatar Wed. 2/5/14 7:26am bibi:

  Wed. 2/5/14 7:28am P-90:

Good Morning, Looms, Sem C. Barrie von Sweden, and all!
@John A.: Nice playlist, right from the top. Starting with a "Requiem"and Satanic sermon appropriate for a week (--month?) when so many distinguished personae have dropped dead
  Wed. 2/5/14 7:30am P-90:

et Bonjour Mml. bibi!
  Wed. 2/5/14 7:46am P-90:

@bibi: oups! Sloppy typing, I'm 1/2 awake, that's:
et Bonjour Mlle bibi!
(pas de point)
Hi everyone else who's 50% conscious or better
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 7:59am Looms:

Jeeez! I've just checked out the greg phillinganes release on amazon: the first price for a second hand copy is 107 € :(

The show is dope, thank u John.
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:00am Sem Chumbo:

@Looms 7:20: why, I hardly know you well enough to hate you:)
Now I am doubly keen to hear the opening of John Allen's show.
Avatar Wed. 2/5/14 8:02am bibi:

Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:07am George of Troy:

Good morning John and gang. Tuning in late this morning. Looks like we've got a great playlist happening.
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:08am Looms:

@Sem: although I'm French, I'm not a bad fellow indeed.
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:19am Sem Chumbo:

@Looms:Les parents de mon père sont de Normandie, en me faisant un demi français, si je comprends votre fierté nationale.
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:30am common:

good lord that was a terrifying walk to work. good morn everyone!
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:33am Looms:

  Wed. 2/5/14 8:35am P-90:

@common: Glad you made it, is it pouring rain in a snowy/icy landscape where you are?
Et bienvenue au club francais de John Allen
  Wed. 2/5/14 8:45am P-90:

Ahh, "Francais par son pere" est la bonne idiome.
Getting quite the lesson this morning, glad I'm not required to recite ;)

@John: amazing sound track for my morning, you have no idea...
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:52am common:

@P-90: Thanks! Yea, a sheet of ice with rain. Yum! how bout you?
  Wed. 2/5/14 8:55am Emile:

Arg, late again... it's another archive session for me...
  Wed. 2/5/14 8:56am P-90:

@common: I'm in NYC, we're getting what you're getting. They predicted a blizzard this morning, guess this is what a melted blizzard looks like
Avatar    Wed. 2/5/14 8:57am common:

@P-90: Yep. in philly. same slushy blizzard shake. hope you stay warm and dry!
Avatar Wed. 2/5/14 8:59am bibi:
