Avatar    Thu. 1/16/14 9:43am braveness23:

@monodons I'm nearly done with his autobiography. Parts of it were great and some are kind of dull. Listening to Morrissey talk about his youth in a writing style that I can only describe as pure Morrissey was really interesting to me. Reading about his discovery of music, especially glam was exciting. Reading about his court case being sued by Joyce was painfully dull .
Avatar    Thu. 1/16/14 9:44am northguineahills:

Hey, I actually really like the Smiths. I was wearing a Smiths shirt when I had my bike accident 10 years ago. Tore it to shreds and left some gnarly blood stains. Kept it as a badge of honor until my gf made get rid of it.

     Thu. 1/16/14 9:47am LovecraftDude888:

yep Morrisey major NY Dolls fanatic fan #1 basically. helped get the reunion thing going, too, or hosted it the first one at ATP fest, or something. He was into all that music, of course, and so was Marr I'm assuming, what those two guys bonded over. I might read Mozzers book... I haven't been a major fan for years but I was in HS and such, major Smiths nut then.

Holy jeepers time! that royally sucks. Glad you're otherwise ok.

I've been ok except for last winter, when I made a complete stop in a pot hole (saw it, braked, came to a complete stop), and fell on my face. Alcohol probably kept me from extending my hands in a timely matter. The accident 10 years ago, was quite a bit worse, mostly head and jaw trauma (while wearing a helmet).

Hope you can get around otherwise while you heal. Hope it's a quick heal!

Anyway, Joe - going back to what you have listed as "Witch Queen":

That's I guess one of that whole swath of Marie Laveau songs people have made. The one you played sounds a lot like something Vin Scelsa said was a big WFMU hit around 1967-68 or so.

I think. I'm missing references. But I think the one he was talking about pronounced Laveau more like Lebeau, and may have been played by some group involving a Zaloom and a bear.
