"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Does anyone know the track that was playing just before the Laraaji song?
Avatar Wed. 11/27/13 6:20am davex:

John: Those are some great sounds to push anyone aside...

Ha! Haven't really cracked into the stack yet, so I'll have to file a report next week. I am pretty happy to have found a Fats Comet album that I've been after for a few years.

Avatar Wed. 11/27/13 8:17am davex:

It's about 33°F here (and 2 p.m.) - enjoy it while it lasts!
Avatar Wed. 11/27/13 8:24am John Allen:

emile, i talked the guy down to $20 (USD). caveat being that a pressing flaw makes both sides of the record look like its about to break in half (it won't) and an audible swoosh that comes with the flaw during quiter moments. still...
Avatar Wed. 11/27/13 8:28am Cheri Pi:

Don't worry peeps, I'm on the case.
  Wed. 11/27/13 8:33am Emile:

I think I heard the swoosh...
Avatar Wed. 11/27/13 8:38am John Allen:
