Cheers Mike E!
...I was less than a day old when Lennon @ the Royal Command Performance said in front of the Queen :
'Those of you in the cheap seats clap your hands - & the rest of you if you'd just rattle your jewelry'
- & ripped into a stompin' 'Twist&Shout' - & that's about how it's been, I guess...
Avatar 8:13am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...last night local PBS showed the American Masters episode of Lou Reed - & of course it's a one-hour TV show, not a deep documentary (nothing about electroshock in his youth say) - but it conveyed the impact alright & testimony of several notables - & was moving. Velvet Underground - Lou Reed......Wow.

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...waiting for the new Hendrix episode of American Masters this Tue.: reviews say it doesn't reveal anything new but I think I'll appreciate it...
Avatar 8:18am

Actually The Queen was not at The Royal Variety Show when the Beatles played. It was the Queen Mother.
Avatar 8:19am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Thx for detail, beavoux. A cheeky & symbolic of Class kind of thing to do in Nov. '63, in any event...

Witty, mike-the making it around the sun bit.and it's wise for us to consider this daily miracle. One day we won't , all of us, be making this daily trip.
By the way, it's always nice seeing your little cutie fronting your comments.

  8:48am

Yes, New Age. The version on 1969 Live by the Velvets is perfect-the end of it endlessly surging.
Did the Vatican really note Reed's passing?
