Good morning, Tony. My ears awaiteth.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 12:06pm Carmichael:

And they'll be waitething a long time, since I chose the wrong day! See you tomorrow!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 11:48am Tony Coulter:

Heya, Yesterday Carmichael Man! Hope your ears aren't tired out from all that waitething.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 11:57am listener SLAYmes from westBOOOOOOd:

good pre-halloween tuesday, tony and all!!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 11:59am Tony Coulter:

Heya, Slaymes! That reminds me: I don't get to do a Halloween show this year, as I have a couple of times in the past. Oh well....
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 11:59am Uncle Fester:

Hold my light bulb.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:01pm Tony Coulter:

Heya Fester!

All I mean by saying I don't get to do a Halloween show is that my show doesn't fall on Halloween -- no evil forces are stopping me.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:04pm Tony Coulter:

Here in Portland, Halloween lasts at least a month -- it's a little much, actually. People have been running around in costumes for a couple of weeks already.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:06pm listener james from westwood:

no worries, i shall compensate by redoubling my consumption of candy corn.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:07pm Uncle Michael:

As a matter of personal policy, I don't do holiday shows if I don't have a show *on* the holiday. This makes the Hanukkah and Pesach shows the only slam-dunks. Mostly, I look forward to an April Fools show someday.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:07pm DCE:

hi Tony!
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:07pm pacific standard simon:

Here, too. I went on a woodland pumpkin walk at the local plant nursery a week and a half ago, and the kids were already working their costumes.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:08pm Tony Coulter:

Heya, DCE and PS Simon!
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:08pm Uncle Michael:

I wonder what percentage of Halloween candy sold in the U.S. actually makes it to trick or treaters.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:09pm pacific standard simon:

Most of mine; the only thing that tempts me these days is the tootsie roll pops.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:11pm Uncle Michael:

I'd be surprised it nationally, it was as high as 20%.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:14pm Tony Coulter:

I don't mind weeks of kids in cutes costumes -- it's all the adults dressed as sexy pirates, or whatever, that gets me. Halloween seems to be merging with Mardi Gras.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:14pm Rich in Washington:

Greetings, Tony, Drummites!
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:14pm DCE:

ha, my kids can't keep their grubby mitts off the stash before Halloween.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:14pm DCE:

"sexy hospice worker"
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:15pm Tony Coulter:

Hola, Rich!
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:15pm Uncle Michael:

All pirates are sexy.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:17pm pacific standard simon:

Unlike the Red Sox.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:19pm pacific standard simon:

You might change your tune if I sent you a scan of "Captain Pissgums and His Pervert Pirates".
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:25pm Uncle Michael:

Simon, somewhere I used to have a signed S. Clay Wilson Pissgums drawing. It disappeared long ago.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:31pm pacific standard simon:

Sad. As is Wilson himself, these days.
  Tue. 10/29/13 12:35pm tahomajohn:

Hey Tony... diggin' your show... glad I am able to catch it live. Cheers!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:36pm Tony Coulter:

Hey, Tahomajohn! Nice to see you hear ... and here.

Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:45pm Tony Coulter:

Thanks for the linkage, PS Simon. I will read it later.

Hello Tony, John et al.
Still love Loaded.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:47pm pacific standard simon:

Now you're playing my song, Tony.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:48pm Tony Coulter:

Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:49pm northguineahills:

Caveman Shoestore, new to me!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:51pm Tony Coulter:

Heya. NGH! They sell only shoes made from wooly mammoth hides.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:55pm Sullivan Ballou:

"what about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? Does he talk like an ordinary guy?"
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:57pm Snortley:

This is the group that got Irwin fired!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 12:58pm Tony Coulter:

Greetings, Sullivan! I've wondered that myself. Tho compared to the Pavlov's Dog vocalist, he's a basso profondo.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 12:59pm pacific standard simon:

Voices play tricks on the radio, if you're not listening carefully. When I heard Geddy singing that song, I thought it was Amy Rigby. When David LaFlamme started singing, I thought it was Gordon Lightfoot.
  Tue. 10/29/13 1:00pm tahomajohn:

Hi Brian! If I was going to a Halloween party this year I would go as a whirling dervish... Mercan Dede forever!:)
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 1:02pm Tony Coulter:

Heya, Snortley!
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 1:05pm pacific standard simon:

Give back my cat's squeaky mouse!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 1:07pm Tony Coulter:

Sorry -- we need it.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 1:14pm pacific standard simon:

This just in -- today's tea is Russian Caravan.
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 1:15pm Tony Coulter:

Sounds like a KGB trick -- don't think the Russians had caravans.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 1:23pm Uncle Michael:

Don't tell that to Maria Ouspenskaya.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 1:26pm pacific standard simon:

Damn! I've had "Gypsy Woman" running through my head for days, and now you've ruined it!
Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 1:27pm Tony Coulter:

If you have underage trombones in the house, please cover their ears.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 1:30pm pacific standard simon:

Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 2:10pm Tony Coulter:

Should go with that Russian Caravan tea.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:16pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar Tue. 10/29/13 2:25pm Tony Coulter:

Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:32pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:32pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:34pm pacific standard simon:

One tip, James -- ALWAYS sift the baking soda. Don't be that guy who treats his friends to a rock of undissolved sodium bicarbonate.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:35pm pacific standard simon:

Betcha Uncle Michael thought this was Grateful Dead.
Avatar    Tue. 10/29/13 2:36pm listener james from westwood:
