I'm trying to remember what life was like in 1993. Oh now I remember that actually huge time in my life. Can't get into it now but through turmoil of those days things turned out kind of wonderful.

Musically, Neil Young and Sonic Youth in NJ. I ran into Neil on street a few days before that show and talked to him a little.

in 1993 i was road manager for the alternative band The White Castles. their only album, Belly Bomber was released on DGC to much critical acclaim but it only sold about 600 copies. i still chalk it up to the decision to put a drawing of a yellow castle on the cover. it just doesn't have the same impact.

1993? I spent most of it hiding in Kurt Cobain's closet, whispering, "Do it" while he slept.
