Zoom H4's are great for amateur field recording...although be prepared for people to think you're carrying around a taser
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm
Scott Williams:

yo stinge! assuming $$ is an object, I'll just 2nd what Liz said this morn: Sony & Tascam both make really gooduns. There's a Tascam for $75, but I don't know how flimsy it is. generally, when they make cheap models, they sound as good as the more $$$$ models, but are much more of a pain to operate, and sometimes the mechanical bits get wonky

Oh, man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm
Special Man:

I am happy with my Olympus LS-10 for field recordings. Incidentally it sounds great on guitar amps as well.
Avatar 4:05pm
stingy d:

right on, somebody earlier mentioned the zoom h2. i assume the h4 is a difference in the materials a la what scott is saying. and the olympus. right on. all good advices. tanks a bunch errbuddy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
DCE:

great set, Scott Williams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm
Special Man:

The LS-10 not too heavy to be carried in a shirt front pocket and the build feels solid. I use it an my mp3 player as well since it is not too clunky. Something I really like - that you can do with any digital dictaphone - is monitor live sound with headphones with volume turned way up, creating a kind of dog-like super hearing.

I can actually tolerate this much better than the actual Rush.
Avatar 4:43pm
neither:

I think that a whole serie of new 8-bit and 16-bit games should be created entirely based on the compositions by Perrey. The stages should be influenced by the melodies, and the Boss, well, that could be the SIN-THESIZER.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm

I would love a Rush song atm

That 3cd electronic music box set OHM (with Perrey & Kingsley, among others) is just killer. I saw it in a Goodwill store and 1st thought it was the Who. They had displayed it upside-down.

she's amazing, Quinnisa's song has been haunting me for a week! she gots real good genes, being the legitimate spawn of Big Blood. 1st song ever to make me want autotune

Someday autotune will be seen as the most cliche telltale bad-taste what-we-thinking giveaway attribute of the 00's, like leisure suits in the 70's, or hats with horns in the middle ages.
Avatar 5:05pm

Don't knock Leisure suits!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm

Autotune will simply be confused with vocoder and eventually start a trend of sinking out of key.
