happy friday
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 6:11am DJelbogen:

Hey Hambuger. How's Paris today?
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:13am hamburger:

I'm in London, but I'd imagine Paris to be sunny, 26 degrees, 44% humidity, visibility clear, because I have just checked google.
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:16am Marc:

it's beautiful here in Liverpool.
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:21am ausmanx:

i'm in sydney, jason... no confusion there! good evening, and it's cold and windy
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:27am Nathan:

England is a country within Great Britain (the island) along with Wales, Scotland and some might even disambiguate Cornwall. Whereas the United Kingdom would include Northern Ireland.. Scottish and Welsh tend to get a bit tetchy if you refer to them as being English. British is probably your safest bet when referring to someone with an undefinable accent whose obviously from the islands.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 6:38am DJelbogen:

But asking someone who's speaking in what Americans would call a 'British' accent if s/he's "from the U.K.?" will be inoffensive 100% of the time, right?
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:42am hamburger:

if anyone can get offended by that I'd bonk them right in the schnozzer
  Fri. 8/17/12 6:47am Nathan:

@DJelbogen - Yes.
  Fri. 8/17/12 7:03am :

where can I d/l Oru Community Sings The King of Glory ?????
  Fri. 8/17/12 7:04am olly hill:

a bang on the clarnet, smack in the boat a kick up the khyber..... should sort most things out
  Fri. 8/17/12 7:50am hamburger:

shame you can't be a fighter jet pilot Jason :o( you would have been an 'okay' wingman
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 7:55am DJelbogen:

Are wingmen profoundly near-sighted?
  Fri. 8/17/12 7:59am hamburger:

well no, because a near-sighted wingman wouldn't exist
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 8:03am DJelbogen:

The best wingman, though, would use the 'force'. Blind would be ok.
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:14am Cheri Pi:

Hi DJElbogen, listeners!
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:18am PKNY:

I love this Daytonians track, someone put that on a mix CD for me years ago. Killer selections today, props!
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:37am Cheri Pi:

this is pretty great DJE.
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:45am hamburger:

this would make for a lovely children's bedtime lullabye
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:49am Cheri Pi:

Jelbo- John Marlon could have gone mainstream
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:49am hamburger:

welp, lunch beckons. thanks for a fun show today.
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:50am ?:

Digging this set a lot!
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 8:53am DJelbogen:

Hey '?'... Do you prefer the scattered-all-over-the-place sets of songs that don't go well together [like this last set where i'm just trying to cram in a bunch of songs regardless of how they 'flow' into each other. (I actually prefer 'shuffle', but it's considered lazy d.j.ing, I believe, so I try to make each set 'flow' together somehow (although I'd prefer jarring changes as I said)
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:56am BSI:

I, for one, support the "whiplash segue" technique.
  Fri. 8/17/12 8:57am Cheri Pi:

no way Jelbo: this set is SO Dayton Ohio, the perfect tribute to our friend who just passed away
Jeremy: "Dayton has always been that way. It has always been unique. When I started going to shows in the late 80s, you’d have a band like Haunting Souls who were doing this politico stuff that was borderline-Slayer in terms of heaviness, and the band right after that would have two drum machines and the guy would be naked and wearing a Dominos pizza box and rapping about straight-edge shit. And yeah, there are rivalries and shit like that, and there’s all kinds of scandal like there’s supposed to be, but I think that Dayton."
  Sat. 8/18/12 4:42pm mickers:

wow. so glad you're back, Jason! big fan of yer show for a while now.
  Sun. 8/26/12 7:31pm Old school:

Do you have We are black and we are proud by The Holy Lights of Baltimore?
