Marmlade kitty:

Hi Monica & listeners!! I don't mean moan, but.. sounds of dead rock stars singing, backed by aged bandmates and primadonnas. Fatboy Slim? Sir Dizzy Rascal! Bring out the oldies.. Please have some taste!
1/ ok, Lennon imagine piece predictable, but timeless..
2/ George Michael - enough already!
3/ The Who "pinball wizard", Roger & Pete declined not wanting to be wheeled out..? after bed time! Elton John.? I nearly puked with the entire Bowie -picture book medly slot.. but the aged British super models were up for it! Zimmer time! :P
I *was* physically sick when they mentioned Burberry and Victoria Beckham etc..
Sooo embarrasing! 70's & 80's encapsuled into a throw back cheese disco... "wish you were here..", was the cream topping the vomit (with Boris Johnson & Coe, the cherry... after a really successful games on the field!
Even the BBC commentators sounded a litte embarressed, but alas, they have no shame.. The Olympiad commitee/corporation would have us, resigned to national museum heritage status.. open for business ;D
..Olympic games decent into hell. The fireworks were the best bit; why not cut the bull and invest all that time energy and money into a killer fireworks show, w/ celeb and distinguished guests attatched..! :D
  7:43pm
Doug S.:

My better half, the Lady J, was a master street-scourer. One day she rolled home a massive industrial-strength fan. The kind you could imagine being used for hurricane effects on movie sets. All it needed was a new power cord. The thing was brilliant. It kept half of Brooklyn cool and was whisper quiet.

I once found an old art deco armoir on the curb.It was cracked on one side.I opened it and found a blue and yellow woman's bell-bottomed pant suit from the 70s.In the the pocket was a 20 dollar bill and a book of matches from some dive bar called the Frontier Ballroom.
I kept the dough and the matches.
