I've been picking my brain for bands that have never been played on SGH but maybe could.

Curious if WFMU still has a copy of:

The Snares
"Something Happened on the Way To Heaven"

sweet record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/4/12 1:28am SueP:

We do have that record. I'll check it out. Thx for the recommend.
  Wed. 7/4/12 1:42am KP:

  Wed. 7/4/12 1:55am KP:

  Wed. 7/4/12 1:58am BG:

  Wed. 7/4/12 2:12am KP:

Call of the Wild. The great names are just sitting there whilst you pound head into pavement.
  Wed. 7/4/12 2:13am Hugh:

arwroowr. no spellcheck. Heya Sue!
Wed. 7/4/12 2:23am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I saw a band called Destruction Unit in Austin on Saturday. They opened for The Men. It was one of the most off the rails, chaotic sets I've seen in some time. I'm not sure how much material they have released, but they had an album for sale at the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/4/12 2:24am SueP:

Yep, Destruction Unit are great! They have a few records. Never seen 'em live but I can see the potential for great performance.
Wed. 7/4/12 2:36am BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

There were some technical snafus that led to instruments and other equipment being tossed about the stage. Bottles and cans and various other items were thrown at the crowd who in turn retaliated by throwing stuff back. Someone kept throwing lit fireworks onstage. I don't know if that's how a typical performance of theirs goes, but it was like being on a roller coaster. You're a little concerned for your safety for most of the ride but you get this euphoric "I'm alive!" rush when it's over.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/4/12 2:38am SueP:

Sounds exactly like what every rock show should be!
  Wed. 7/4/12 2:43am Hugh:

Should every band be killing it? No, but it's a good ephemeral thing to have in the back of every band's mind.
  Fri. 7/6/12 5:29pm Rory:

Thx for blowing my mind Sue!
