monica:

steve - we better put hat question to the gang here cuz i don't know. who's the gal shooting and what film?
  7:32pm
TrsT:

I don't know the movie, but I gaboogled it -- The Song of Songs 1933, Marlene Dietrich.
  7:33pm
TrsT:

Or so says the caption at : http://precodehollywood.tumblr.com/
  7:33pm
other david:

ridiculously good set, loving this.
  7:35pm
G:

1933, the year before the Hays Code began to be enforced. I suspect that would have been a bit too much shoulder blade for the Hays Office. Sex and violence right in one shot.
  7:36pm
seang:

twirl them tassels baby
  7:40pm
CB1:

No - I hate the beach. Give the cool mountains every time.
  7:41pm
G:

Sun *and* shade. It's not either/or for me.
  7:41pm
TrsT:

It's just a bit of sloppy play on 'googled'.
  7:42pm
TrsT:

Here's how -- you right click on the image a
and copy the url. You go to images.google.com and click on the little camera in the search box and then paste the url.

Sometimes it goes 'Ding!' sometimes not. Results are almost always interesting.

TrsT - wow! thanks...Very cool. Never heard of gaboogling... other david - thank ye... G - up your Hays Code, are you?... As we speak, seang... CB!, I'm with ya there... G, working across the aisle...

working across the aisle gives more perspective :-)
  7:47pm
TrsT:

The full term, I believe, is 'the whole kitten kaboogledy-gaboogle'
  7:47pm
david:

I like sunning myself but not when in the city. too much tar as Monica alluded to, soot and grit and chemicals, etc. give me a destination and then switch on that sun, I say.
  7:49pm
seang:

Too often summer days appear emblems of perfect happiness I can't confront

miss cheri:

monica the reason of the beach is cause i love to look at the hot guys,,,
Avatar 8:00pm
monica:

well all right now, cheri! i like to look at hot dogs, canines.
  8:00pm
Jeff:

I'm not much of a self-baker. I like going to the beach, because I love the sea breeze and the sound of the waves, but my favorite way to pass the day is enjoying a book on a nice shaded porch with said breezes ruffling me and the aforementioned surf doing its thing within earshot.

Actually, I find being thoroughly suntanned a pretty actively unattractive characteristic in others. I often wonder whether it's a purely aesthetic response, or at least partially a subconscious recognition that their idea of fun is probably radically different from mine...

  8:09pm
seang:

you're just gettin started miss cheri
  8:09pm
TrsT:

Summer? 90-95% shade.
  8:11pm
~L:

This works for hair care: conditioner first, rinse after a few minutes, then shampoo, rinse, then conditioner again, then comb hair throughly while in the shower, rinse 3/4 of the conditioner out, exit shower, gently towel dry hair, you can wet comb again, or scrunch hair up for body, air dry, and do not comb again.

G - Speaking of tanning, doesn't The Donald look like and orange ball with a gaping piehole bellowing at that Miss USA contestant?
  8:16pm
Tom - In Gravesend Brooklyn:

..I find that in the sun if I take precautions and take adequate vitamin c like 5 grams + I am "ok" but for some "ok" may not be ok .. but then I do darken but now I be 52 soon in like 9 weeks and the darker skin makes the 1/4 sicilian in me come out with that almost all white hair I have now ,, to some it's attractive even when I first look in the mirror but after a while ,, looks a bit silly... oh an LOVE LOVE The show as always Monica !! Cheers !!!
  8:16pm

evening, monica! i've never actually heard this tiny tim song in full before; just the refrain looped behind gifs of people falling off dirtbikes and meeting other misfortunes.

Make that XXL dry, Monica. Tim was not, from everything I could tell from the day I spent in his company, a bather.
