  Fri. 4/20/12 9:08pm G:

A Roy Wood song also covered by The New Seekers...
Fri. 4/20/12 9:08pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  Fri. 4/20/12 9:20pm South DaveKota:

Checking in. I've been hearing alot of old early 70s AM radio one hit wonders lately from various venues. So awesome... Love the show, Pseu&Co...
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:22pm Barkevious Shabazz:

I think they got so high so they could call their band The Peanut Butter Conspiracy.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:24pm The PBC:

We were gonna pick a sensible name,
But then we got high,
then we got high,
then we got high...
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:33pm PiLA:

Did I leave my Visine at your place?
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:41pm G:

Sorry, the Wondermints said they needed it.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:44pm Pete:

I remember you played this demo shortly after Davy Jones died. Love it!
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:44pm Mike Sin:

Pullin' records as you speak (I'm in for Jeffrey Davison).

Re: Shy Limbs -- 1969, UK; features Greg Lake (later of King Crimson, ELP) on bass.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:44pm emmagineering:

I cannot wait to pick up this Carole king demos record..... this one is INCREDIBLE.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:44pm Destroit:

Yes, this is good.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:45pm other david:

A rather beautiful show, Pseu
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:48pm Barkevious Shabazz:

It's Helen Reddy vs. Anne Murray in a throw down. Cast yr vote.
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:48pm G:

I am woman, hear me croon!
  Fri. 4/20/12 9:52pm Helen Reddy:

Anne was never on a Gene Simmons solo album. Point Australia.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:00pm 12539:

their site says: BFP East is located in the alley at 119 Ingraham St.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:02pm Destroit:

  Fri. 4/20/12 10:36pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Pete Ham. Aces.
Fri. 4/20/12 10:42pm Chris in Newton:

Sunrise.. Sell Out. Great show Pseu, thank you.
Fri. 4/20/12 10:46pm Chris in Newton:

Pseu- It was "Sunrise", not "Our Love Was"...
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:47pm Mrs. Horn:

Did somebody say coma?
Fri. 4/20/12 10:54pm Chris in Newton:

It was their peak... by far
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:55pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Pink Floyd.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:55pm Andrew Waterloo:

I tend to throw Pink Floyd into that.. I've spoken with people who claim to be massive Pink Floyd fans who seem unaware of Piper, Saucer, and Meddle
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:57pm G:

Piper, Saucer, and Meddle: The Dark Side of the Floyd
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:57pm daupo:

U2 also on this list.
Avatar    Fri. 4/20/12 10:57pm pseu:

Alright, that's a great (obvious) one -- is there one more?
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:57pm Briania:

The Kinks' career path and relation to audience are similar, especially in the states.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:58pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Charlotte. Wowzers.
Avatar    Fri. 4/20/12 10:58pm pseu:

U2 is NOT on this list.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:59pm Snortley:

Most of Lou Reed's best work and that of the Velvets went unappreciated while it was mint. The place to find it then was in the cutout bins. Later on, they were "discovered" by latecomers.
  Fri. 4/20/12 10:59pm daupo:

IS TOO!!!
Avatar    Fri. 4/20/12 11:00pm pseu:

I don't know anyone who claims to be a huge Lou Reed fan who wouldn't know VU. Seriously. And NO, U2 still doesn't count.
Fri. 4/20/12 11:00pm Dan in Brooklyn:

How about an entire genre? People who say, "I really love reggae." Only listen to Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:00pm Neil:

How about Jethro Tull? Some really good early stuff and ...
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:00pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Bowie fell into this category when he palled around with Nile Rogers.
Fri. 4/20/12 11:03pm Dan in Brooklyn:

Genesis, if bands with member changes count.
Avatar    Fri. 4/20/12 11:05pm pseu:

Genesis -- GREAT one
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:06pm G:

Though they are thin on the ground any more, back in the 80s there were people who claimed to be Trevor Rabin-era Yes fans who didn't know or care about the 70s material. (And many 70s fans who were extremely hostile to the 80s material.)
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:06pm Droll:

ELO going back to The Move.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:08pm Pete:

You know, I've always totally been into The Who, including The Who Sell Out, etc., but I find so many of the The Who Sell Out/mod-obssessed people are too cool to acknowledge all the uncool gems on albums like Face Dances and It's Hard. The past ten years or so it's been very hipster de rigeur to be into pre-Tommy Who.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:09pm Destroit:

Best heart song ever.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:10pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Did she say, "Wrestling with a cruller"?
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:11pm daupo:

In the mid-to-late '90s, my terribly authentic punk cousin from Cincinnati was into cool, young, terribly authentic U2, and now they are the biggest poseurs on earth. How does that not count?

And YES, genesis.
Fri. 4/20/12 11:13pm Dan in Brooklyn:

How many Kenny Rogers fans know he was in the Fifth Dimension?
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:14pm Destroit:

Pencil me in as a a giant Who fan, pre & post Tommy. Too much to talk about there. Quietly nice show Pseu, keep bangin'
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:15pm Destroit:

Love Kenny too Dan, and I'm serious.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:17pm EastVanHalen:

Good evening, comrades. Lovely show thus far, Pseu.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:18pm G:

You Asked For it.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:18pm Droll:

Dan, I confess I had to Google KR5D and was more amazed to read he was in The New Christie Minstrels. Tie Me Kenny Down, Sport!
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:19pm G:

Isnm't this the basically same backing arrangement as "Gentle on My Mind" (or vice versa)?
Fri. 4/20/12 11:20pm Dan in Brooklyn:

Dammit, I always mess that up. I get Kenny and Marilyn McCoo confused all the time.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:21pm Barkevious Shabazz:

This is such a damn fine progrim. I haven't heard Ruby since I had my Korvettes transistor.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:21pm john:

That's because they were both involved with Billy Davis Jr.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:22pm Andrew Waterloo:

wish I could find a clip of Daltrey's cameo on Mighty Boosh
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:22pm Destroit:

EVH, hello!
Fri. 4/20/12 11:25pm Dan in Brooklyn:

The Bob Seger System. I'm from Detroit (where he is our Bruce) and I didn't know anything before "Turn the Page."
Avatar    Fri. 4/20/12 11:26pm pseu:

Bob Seger - good one!
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:27pm EastVanHalen:

Hey, Destroit! How's it going?
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:30pm Destroit:

Feelin' ok EVH, wings got punked is a very frustrating matter, but that's just little things.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:31pm Andrew Waterloo:

I had a brother who obsessed over things like Turn the Page and Boy Named Sue
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:34pm Destroit:

I never got Seger's music, and never will. Great great guy, but a music C+.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:35pm Joe D:

hey its the guy from the Format!
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:37pm Andrew Waterloo:

Old Time Rock'n Roll is a notoriously poorly covered bar band song
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:42pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Somebody get me a cheeseburger! Props for that...
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:44pm Pete:

But I will always applaud any appearace of the Figgs. I often quote a 1995 interview with them: "We just try to rock out as much as possible."
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:44pm Destroit:

Red flag #1 is when you have notoriously covered bar band songs. Sincerely, "takin care of business". C- :)

  Fri. 4/20/12 11:47pm Destroit:

D- for a double post. :(
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:47pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Right street, wrong house. The burger is Steve Miller's. Yet another member of the late period dreck, early kinda better trend.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:49pm Andrew Waterloo:

I know the Best of Steve Miller intimately because of a long car trip to Florida
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:50pm G:

There was actually a Best? How could they tell? :-)
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:52pm Andrew Waterloo:

I don't know.. I haven't heard much outside of that
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:52pm EastVanHalen:

If I'd been a passenger on that trip, the driver wouldn't have survived past the first state line.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:53pm Destroit:

Ha G! Thanks Pseu. Wonderful show.
  Fri. 4/20/12 11:55pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Is there anything more execrable than Bob Seger's "Her Strut"? It's a PHD in horrible.
