Dave In Philly:

Possibly the best theme ever for a call-in show, Chris. Life is too short, right?

i had a pal i was estranged..er.. (not talking to) after i'd know him for 15 years... 3 or 4 years later i reached out... in pretty quick time we were pals again.. good palls too cus i think we realized how important a good friend is...

I find it really weird when I think about that the early 80's was 30 years ago!! Back then as a teenager it seemed like the Vietnam war was eons before I was born but that was a mere decade or so prior.

Dave In Philly:

So 10 years from now, we'll be looking back on Iraq. Probably still lauding (and paying) the hero vets as somehow dishing out revenge for 9-11. Crazy stuff!

Brass Knuckles:

Funny when you put in perspective growing up when this music was new. If you were your current age back then, you'd be spinning a bunch of 45s from the late 40's and early 50's. Show would have a whole different vibe.

Ricardo Montalban:

Nice show, CHris! THis is like everything I was listening to when I was around 17. Whadda blast!

What dj's are still around on wfmu that were spinning in the early 80's. Irwin for sure. A very young glen jones? Jeff Sargent? Probably Bob Brainen

Bad Ronald:

Sorry for your loss Chris. Great tribute.

Did you say you felt bad about not talking to Mike after he assaulted you? If so, don't beat yourself up (heh). I've been written off over a pair of EPIs!

Must be cool driving down the freeway listening to Magazine

Dave In Philly:

Oh, Jam was on the playlist at WUVT in the summer of '82.
My slot was 3 to 5 AM, which tells you what a good DJ I was. But I hated VA Tech as much as they hated me. Some relationships are best let go...

Siriusly:

So cool discovering new DJs on WFMU

Dave In Philly:

Chris is not a DJ, usually, but he can be a good one!
