  7:03pm
Betsy:

Hey there! Good evening everyone.
  7:07pm
glenn:

my request today is for your pal michael hurley - hog of the forsaken
  7:09pm
Betsy:

Ooo, such a good one! Might not be able to fit it in this week, but don't worry Glenn I'll play it soon.
  7:11pm
Listener John:

Toothpick Rhythm again with Betsy Nichols -- what a great way to spend an hour!
  7:12pm
Betsy:

Aww, shucks thanks John!
  7:16pm
TC Chuck:

Hi again. After six months of not streaming I didn't spot the two streams last week that were causing my echo. Duh. Anyway, I'm sure that I'll enjoy this show even more than the last one. feels like home, but better.
  7:17pm
Listener Mark:

betsy - how about some emmylou harris for a cold thursday night?
  7:21pm
Betsy:

Hi TC! Glad the echo's not coming from the show. And Mark, I'll see what I can do...she is a favorite! ;)
  7:23pm
glenn:

there's this chick from iceland. she calls herself lay low. she's like the bastard love child of dolly parton and bjork. not a request, but i think you might like her.
  7:26pm
Betsy:

Lay Low, huh? I'll check her out, thanks Glenn!

rusty beltway:

We had a huge flood here in PA back in 2006. I'm not even on a river, but the rain was turning the streets into rivers. Once you've experienced a flood you can never hear that Cash song the same way.

Oooh....Loretta and Conway! Awright!
  7:32pm
rusty beltway:

The freakin' Kendalls!?! No way!

Father & Daughter duo, right? I haven't heard that since I was 10 years old.
  7:35pm
Betsy:

Hey Rusty! I know, that tune's a real blast from the past.
  7:36pm
Listener John:

At first, "You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" reminded me of John Prine & Iris Dement singing "In Spite of Ourselves." But then at the end it sounded like Otis Redding & Carla Thomas dueting on "Tramp." Does that make sense to anybody else?
  7:38pm
Listener Mark:

listener john - never thought of the last connection, but it does make since.
  7:41pm
Betsy:

Sure, trash talk! Otis & Carla do it pretty well, and so do Loretta & Conway. ;)
  7:44pm
Listener Mark:

betsy - how about some bobby bare? one of my favorites is drop kick me jesus from live at gillies
  7:44pm
Listener Mark:

as always, your show is the best. thanks
  7:45pm

Hi Mark, I love him! Played him last week. I'll look for that live Gilley's track.
  7:51pm
