Listener comments!

  3:48am
Harry:

Hi Julie Thanks for playing great music on a cold, cold night.
  3:49am
Julie:

Someone's out there! Thanks, Harry. Worried it was a little too rock for some of my usual folks.
  3:53am
Harry:

well, in this weatherf we need a little rock assault OMG I didn't say that
  3:54am
Julie:

Where you at? We've just gotten our first real snow here.
  3:56am
Harry:

nearby, Bergen County Nj getting the same snow marvelous
  3:57am
Julie:

I just peeked outside, STILL snowing...Glad I don't have to drive in it!
  3:59am
Harry:

society needs to slow down and the miracle of snow is one of the few things that can do it
  4:00am
Harry:

wow Bad Miss "M" is great never heard it
  4:02am
Julie:

Love Danielle Dax!
  4:22am
peter:

its official - the earth has turned upsite down - the temperature in bangor maine is 47 - but here in daytona beach, fl its 29
  4:25am
Julie:

Whoa Peter that's nutty
  4:27am
matthew:

Julie... hello from California. are you a Marillion fan at all? really enjoying the set so far.
  4:29am
Julie:

Actually, I don't know Marillion at all. Another one of those bands I need to check out! And thanks, Matthew!
  4:31am
Jeffersonic (DSK):

Such an enjoyable mix you're throwing down this evening! Thanks! (reminds me somewhat of the way Hooverphonic's first album makes me feel.)
  4:31am
matthew:

for some reason, hearing the Nanase Hikaru piece made me think of them...
  4:32am
Julie:

ooh.. Any album I should start with, Matthew?
  4:32am
rabarber:

Great playlist.Greetings from Poland
  4:33am
Julie:

Hi Rabarber, Hi Jeffersonic, thanks for checking in :)
  4:35am
Harry:

See, Julie, everyone LOVES your playlist. Every song is outstanding. Waiting for Kate Bush!
  4:36am
Julie:

That was the name of a book, Waiting for Kate Bush. I think the character wanted to kill himself, but was waiting for Kate to put out an album.
  4:38am
matthew:

their early post prog stuff like Script for a Jester's Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood might be a good start... I think I'm reminded of their more ballad styled tunes as I listen to your set. which, by the way, is putting me in a great mood right now. so, thank you.
  4:40am
Julie:

Good moods are good, Matthew. No death songs for me tonight!
  4:41am
matthew:

so... no cannibal corpse tonight?
  4:42am
Harry:

Suicide unless Kate Bush puts out an album? Is that how obsessed you were with Olivia Newton John?
  4:43am
Julie:

Haha I don't go that far. But I've done depression and death sets. No, Harry I wasn't that bad. And I was pretty obsessed with Kate too. ONJ, however, keeps making albums. Kate is well, waiting for Kate.
  4:46am
ausmanx:

but how would the guy feel if he waited and the kate bush album turned out to be crap?
  4:47am
Julie:

Ausmanx, indeed!
  4:47am
Harry:

I guess it would depend on if he made a deal with god
  4:48am
Julie:

booooo
  4:50am
ausmanx:

anyway, bad miss "J", i want to be the dissenting voice in all this drug-fuelled positivity, i HATE some of the songs in your playlist, but that's why it's so great! Heart should have been strangled at birth, but Mazzy Star, sublime. and that's the way it should be! or maybe it's just cos I'm in Sydney...
  4:51am
Harry:

ying yang
  4:51am
Julie:

That's what freeform is all about. You can't love everything!
  4:54am
ausmanx:

that's what i reckon! it would be cool to have it interactive so people on the web could click a thumbs up or a thumbs down for each track that gets played. although then i suppose the data analysts would get their hands on it...
  4:59am
tinydiva:

The BJ? I too am an old school OMJ fan. I had no idea she was still recording. In fact. I think I'm going to forget that I know that. But Mr. Joel? I have pretty much enjoyed everything up until this. Including Heart bigtime. Freeform, I hear you.
  5:00am
Julie:

What can I say, I grew up listening to Billy. And I like the anger in that song.
  5:02am
peter:

glad i caught your show - although i am left wondering what part of me likes this - a softer side - i dare say a feminine side.. i watch julie, lit by campfire light, playing guitar. i am on a mysterious winding river. cool nite warm water. never knowing whats around the next bend. i am excited, because she could take me anywhere.
  5:11am
Harry:

Julie, you're the tops!!
  5:12am
Julie:

Thanks Peter, lovely image! And thanks, Harry, will store that in my self-esteem bank.
  5:14am
Harry:

I have one of those banks. It seems to get robbed each time I go to make a withdrawl
  5:22am
jeff-m:

just stopping in to say good morning Julie.
  5:23am
tinydiva:

Lovely Rhodes.
  5:23am
Julie:

Hi Jeff! Good Morning!
  5:44am
matthew:

what are the chances you can twist Boo Trundle's arm some more? she should really dust off that guitar... and visit your studio.
  5:45am
Julie:

I know, I told her that, and we'd talk about her book. She seems resistant :( Go to her site http://www.bootrundle.com and ask her !
  5:46am
peter:

its the adees
  5:58am
matthew:

goodnight Julie... I'll apply gentle, welcoming pressure on Boo to come in to your studio as my homework this week.
  6:01am
Julie:

thanks everyone!
  12:54am
Matt from Springfield:

Great setlist as always Julie! In fact I noticed you played some songs I suggested in earlier comments ("Nur Getraumt"! That was one of Nena's first hits as Nena!) On top of that the Kinks, Donovan, Heather Nova, Payolas, Mazzy Star, Laura Nyro, Kate, Kim Wilde, all very wonderful!
  2:29pm
Julie:

Thanks Matt! I always liked that Nena song, but I knew the English version, I didn't realize it was the same song!
