I remember a review of a Crack the Sky date in the Acquarian back in the 70's. The headline said "crack your eardrums". I guess they were loud.

OMG Bloodrock. Their song "D.O.A." scared the crap out of me when I was in junior high. The lyrics to this one are pretty hilarious though - ice cream cones and laying eggs?

Denise in DC:
I remember D.O.A.! Scared the crap out of me too, which is why I loved it. Haven't thought of it in years.

A Boston Top 40 station polled listeners on whether DOA should continue to be played, but of course it was more radio gimmickry than democracy.

|
Wed. 8/4/10 11:34am
Rebecca in Hoboken:
Stingy - if you live near Hoboken they auction off the bikes they find regularly (probably all the stolen bikes taken for joy rides). I'm not sure what the prices are but the city website says when the auctions are and lists the prices. Great show Duane!
|
Wed. 8/4/10 11:35am
Rebecca in Hoboken:
Oops they list the bikes (model and type) not the prices. Then I'd know what the prices are.

Very sorry for bike loss. Thieves make my eyes and bones and soul see red. And their scurvy mission focus will get past heavy locking or protective disabling. Remember this? http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/31085
