Royal Silvertones from Detroit?
  Fri. 6/4/10 7:48pm Fine Wine:

Hey, Adam! I'm thinking yeah...but just because a lot of their records seem to turn up there. But I'm not sure....
  Fri. 6/4/10 7:58pm AdamPartyStomper:

Lovin it!
  Sat. 6/5/10 5:38pm Peter:

Uh, Uh, Baby by Bobby Robinson on ABC/Paramount: any idea who the guitar player is? Or the year of issue?

My point is that while it doesn't sound like a Stax arrangement, the guitar player IMO has studied Cropper very closely.
  Sat. 6/5/10 6:49pm moondoggie:

Hooray! You're back! I knew you went on a little trip but I was starting to get worried....extra hooray for your WFMU archived shows which kept me goin'.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:24pm John Valauri:

Greetings from Cincinnati--the home of King Records. Great job on the "Teach Me to Monkey" CD. I'm a huge fan of 1961, too--the music did not die in 1959. Looking forward to the next volume--how 'bout a box set!
