Hi, Maria!
Can you play "Angels" by FLight of the Conchords?

It's oddly appropriate for the last several hours of programming...
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:04pm Sean Daily:

First comment! Woo hoo!

  Wed. 5/5/10 12:41pm Maria:

What I need here, from you people out there, are some suggestions on how to feel better about the state of things right now. I've tried alcohol, but that leads to other problems.
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:43pm Cecile:

I would make a donation to the cleanup, whether it be cash, dish soap or pet hair.
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:45pm andrew:

quality time with my kitties tends to help. insert your pet of choice. helps for a few minutes!
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:47pm bennett4senate:

  Wed. 5/5/10 12:47pm digibob:

  Wed. 5/5/10 12:48pm JT:

Wow, this is great stuff. There's an old Lyrichord album of "macedonian gypsy" music that sounds exactly like this. 2 double reed pipes (one as drone or backup) and one drum, often family combos.
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:50pm Rob W:

Zurnas rule! Thanks Madame Levitsky.
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:52pm osvi:

On a Wednesday, with layoffs looming, the potential closure of the public library I work at, yet music (intellectually stimulating music) makes things...better. Thank you, Maria. You made it that much bearable and brought a smile to my face! That is why WFMU kicks bad day's ass!!
  Wed. 5/5/10 12:59pm sinister dexter:

  Wed. 5/5/10 1:21pm Rob W:

Brass band news: No Bregovic this summer - but his former collaborator filmmaker Emir Kusturica is bringing his No Smoking Orchestra over for the Lincoln Center Festival and gigs in Chicago and eastern Canada - and Romania's fab Mahala Rai Banda play a Roma festival at Central Park Summerstage in late September!

  Wed. 5/5/10 2:31pm BSI:

Bob & Ray taught me how to pronounce 'archipelago' with the komodo dragon skit.... i wasn't too sure until I heard that..... Bob & Ray fix everything.
  Wed. 5/5/10 2:32pm BSI:

'cuz i tended to do the same thing, accent on the arkapel-AHgo, for some reason
  Wed. 5/5/10 2:33pm MAariyyya:

  Wed. 5/5/10 2:35pm Claudio:

ARCHIPèLAGO
  Wed. 5/5/10 2:38pm Matt:

St. Louis (arch) e pe la go !
  Wed. 5/5/10 2:41pm BSI:

when in doubt, I generally avoid the offending word altogether. .. Substitute "archipelago" with the phrase "buncha land crumbs outda oatchin' (bonus points for the Baltimore/eastern shore accent at the end there)
  Wed. 5/5/10 2:45pm MAriya:

Vise Adwice, BSI
