Fri. 9/18/09 3:27pm From: Cecile

Fri. 9/18/09 3:31pm From: north guinea hills

Didn't Billy Mays or Vince try to sell me a Cheeseslider?

Fri. 9/18/09 3:55pm From: mike cooper

Hi there - share a story with you about Tony Scott - when i first moved to Rome in Italy (which is where Tony had lived for man years) he asked me why i had moved here - i told him and asked him the same - he said "Cant remember but it only took me two years to become completely unknown whatever it was". Its a sad story I know but its true - and sad.

Fri. 9/18/09 3:57pm From: Yer DJ

The Studs Terkel thing is available on a 6-CD comp. of his interviews.
Great stuff.

Fri. 9/18/09 3:59pm From: Carmichael

I think I've lived here for a few man years ....

The only other Shonen Knife I've ever heard was from the Spinal Tap tribute album. I like the in-your-face ness.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:03pm From: mike cooper

Well when you get to my age and the print gets so small many years can turn into all sorts of years - as you will find out - maybe

Fri. 9/18/09 4:04pm From: Doctor Hanratty

hey DJ got any Five Go Down To The Sea?

Fri. 9/18/09 4:11pm From: Carmichael

I hear ya Mike. I'm more than halfway to the century mark myself.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:22pm From: Carmichael

Sheez. That Shonen Knife was from the Rutles tribute, not Tap. Memory is the 2nd thing to go ....

Fri. 9/18/09 4:24pm From: Parq

Funny that I should return to the playlist comments and find you guys on this tack. I just counted, and in an organization of close to 300, there are 8 people who have been here longer than I have. Fuck, I'm old.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:24pm From: dc pat

ugh. If we're talking Japanese chick rock, 5678's rule the day.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:25pm From: dc pat

we're all old on the comments...why do you think we're here?

Fri. 9/18/09 4:27pm From: phx pat

Fri. 9/18/09 4:28pm From: Carmichael

Pat, I agree with you 1000%. Parq, I'm 4th oldest out of 20. Here in Layoff Land, that's very important.

This Ned track is a-okay. If you're interested, Rob Weissberg did a whole show with Ned ca. 1996. Worth hitting the archives for.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:51pm From: phx pat

Fri. 9/18/09 4:52pm From: dc pat

Fri. 9/18/09 4:53pm From: Yer DJ

"Nak-a-Dish"? I had no idea.
Don't feel too bad, I screw up the pronunciation of lots of places.

Fri. 9/18/09 4:57pm From: Ike

Phx Pat, re: Failure, do you mean other shows on FMU? Bryce, Stochastic Hit Parade w/Bethany, Airborne Event, sometimes Daniel B. and Stan....

Fri. 9/18/09 4:59pm From: Cecile

I think Bryce has a lot of shows similar to Fabio's and Scott Williams, the show before, is a fine complement to Fabio

Fri. 9/18/09 5:01pm From: annie

Fri. 9/18/09 5:43pm From: Ψ-Ns
