  9:01am Ghengis Jung:

Good Morning!
  9:01am Parq:

It's about time you turned 50! Bring on the CW.
  9:01am Cribley:

It's Ken's birthday in Canada.
  9:01am Vicki:

erm
  9:02am Maggie in Rock Tavern:

Happy 50th Ken - probably see you at some point during the marathon.
  9:02am chris:

I love the smell of corn weenies in the morning.
  9:03am texas scott:

Happy Birthday,Ken!
Corn weenies UNITE!
  9:05am BSI:

THE COMPUTER PROBLEM MUST NOT WIN!!!!!
  9:06am Mac:

Happy Corn Weenies to you,
Happy Corn Weenies to you
Happy Corn Weenies to you Ken,
Happy Corn Weenies to you.
  9:07am Ghengis Jung:

Nachum should stick around more often!
  9:07am listener mark:

Happy Birthday Ken
Good Morning Everyone
  9:09am dei xhrist:

Soon-Ra? Is that the Korean woman that Chester Brown draws, with the theory of interstellar return?
  9:09am chris:

We'll know the computer problem is solved when it starts singing "Dasiy" right?
  9:10am HAL 9000:

You're getting over-excited, Ken. Stressing your system this way at age 50 could endanger the station's mission. Don't you think? Just a moment...just a moment... a problem up on the tower...way up. You should probably climb up there to make repairs.
  9:11am Ken:

Hello all! Didn't Nachum pull out a great song?!
  9:11am Parq:

Whoa, this is really cool. I turned the radio on before turning the puter audio off, and what with the lag, the two feeds are in synch rhythmically. The effect is, well, very FMU.
  9:11am Eric:

Hey, this Jimmy Bell is good! Maybe Nachum should always choose your music? He could be like your personal music director.
  9:12am Ghengis Jung:

Is it 15 minutes long?
  9:12am dei x:

yes. now I will adjust my food pyramid accordingly.
  9:12am Swami:

Hey, it's both my kids b-days this week too! Happy B day Ken, Gabriel, and Jack!
  9:13am Ghengis Jung:

Jimmy Bell (10:56)

That should give you enough time to fix the problem...
  9:14am Ken:

I know! Nachum coulda picked out a 3 minute song but he picked this! WHat a guy. No pics today, sorry. no sleep, no pics. Thjanks for the observed birthday wishes!!
  9:15am Cecile:

Ken, as annie says, life begins at 50.
Tell me what it's like, I'm gointgto be there sooner than I like.

corn weenie!
  9:15am matchmaker:

Have you kids met?

Jimmy Bell....Suzie Q.
Suzie, Jimmy.
  9:16am Negator:

Is Jimmy Bell in town? HB, Ken.
  9:19am BSI:

Ken -- This is the only pic you'll need, for today.
I shot this one at home to celebrate the opening of DC's first Target store. It was a weird day.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/intangible/2313851216/sizes/m/
  9:19am Ghengis Jung:

Ken, Nachum may have been onto something with the Sooooon Ra - he might have pulled a sidelong track and set you up for a lengthy troubleshooting session...
  9:20am Ghengis Jung:

Are those corn dogs sitting on the ark of the covenant?
  9:20am gavin:

haha. tasteful, sir.
  9:21am BSI:

goddammit, those corn dogs ARE the ark of the covenant!
  9:21am Negator:

YEAAAAHHHHH! 50 YO MAN!
  9:22am Cupcake Dog:

Will there be Corn Weenie cupcakes today?
  9:22am Schlangemann:

Die Himmel ist schön, Du bist schön. Supergut! HB!
  9:22am Mark E. Smith:

Whaattttrrrrryiigoooowwwnnnnaaadooooabooooouttttidddd
  9:23am chris:

I'm a 50 year old corn weenie
  9:23am dc pat:

WhARrrrYAgonDObourrit?
  9:25am dc pat:

this part just kills me...
  9:25am Bronwyn C.:

Hi, Ken--i posted about yr. birthday on WFMU's Beware of the Blog this morning, but I didn't know if you were telling people how old you were. HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway!
  9:29am gavin:

here comes the headcoats-style bit.
  9:30am dc pat:

quite right gavin
  9:30am miss v:

how long is this song????
  9:32am Janey Yonkers:

It's 50 years long, it plays in real time.
  9:32am chooch:

can you help me with my melon?
  9:32am BSI:

THE COMPUTER PROBLEM HAS FAILED, has it not?
  9:32am trrrish:

happy Geburtstag, Ken!
and bon Anniversaire !

It all sounds good - 'half century' 'demi-siècle' 'la musique' 'corn weenie'..
  9:33am gerardo:

"¡cumpleaños feliz!", ken
  9:34am Ken:

Yes! I wont the computer battle. But the computer thinks it won. That was the only way I could do it.
  9:34am negator:

Pork Weenie
  9:35am Laurie:

Happy Birthday, Ken!!
  9:35am chris:

Ok, I have to interrupt. It's not pork weenie it's corn weenie.
  9:35am Vicki:

I think we call a Corn Weenie a "Toad In The Hole" here
  9:36am gavin:

i've soiled myself.
9:36am Freddy from West Orange Plumbing Supply:

Happy Birthday Ken. Wish you many more great years
  9:37am paul:

longmont pition castle would be proud of that end bit there
  9:37am Doug from DC:

Really, really!
  9:38am Ghengis Jung:

Is that what Toad in the Hole is?
  9:38am Cecile:

put your head in your lap and explore the wonders of Port Sayaid.
  9:41am Vicki:

Toad in the Hole is like a Corn Weenie, only it's in a dish. Sort of flat. Sausage surrounded by "Yorkshire Pudding" (but that's another story) type batter. Not on a stick. I didn't know what a Corn Weenie was before Mr Proft started telling us about it
  9:42am chris:

Mmmmm, batter.
  9:42am annie:

hey all, just made it home in time for part two of ken's diatribe on sleeplessness. happy birthday ken! say it!
  9:43am Lizardner Dave:

Crap, I have to go to a meeting for the rest of the show. Well, there's always archives.
  9:44am dc pat:

where I come from it's a "corn dog" and now I only eat the veggie versions....which suck...so i don't eat them either...
9:45am Chris From West Orange Plumbing Suppl:

Aw man Ken, just wanted to say that you know I LOVE THE SHOW, and can you play Fluffy for me man. WOOO I LOVE THE SHOW, IIIIII LLLLOOOOVVVEEE IIIIITTTT
  9:45am JJZ:

I'm reminded I need to visit this one place in the Chicagoland area that's known for really good corn dogs.
  9:45am owen:

is a weenie a thing in it's own right?
  9:46am Cecile:

yes it is colloquial for hot dog, such as "weenie roast"
  9:46am BSI:

dc pat:
My solution is to use rocket-fuel strength curry/vindaloo sauce as a dipper. Makes even the most horrifyingly dreadful veggie corndogs awesome.
  9:46am Cecile:

not to be confused with "sausage fest"
  9:47am listener mark:

We toast an English Muffin, cut a hole in each center, place them on a hot skillet, and drop an egg in each. That's our "Toad In The Hole."
  9:47am Cecile:

wouldn't a heavily battered tofu cylinder be way better than fake hot dogs?
  9:48am BSI:

lovely groove to this one.
  9:48am Cecile:

mark, I grew up with that being called a "one-eyed jack" or "egg in the hole"
9:49am High and Confused in New Jersey:

Ayo guys, what the heck is all this Corn Weenie stuff about.
  9:49am jan:

Sorry Ken, forgot that it was your birthday! Happy Birthday. When will the official holiday celebrating your birth be enacted? Where is the postage stamp with your likeness?
  9:49am annie:

cecile, just a heads-up. life is great and ken ahs soooo much to look forward to, now that he has reached this pinnacle. 55 and feelin'great!
  9:51am Larry's alter-ego:

ken, I understand you are celebrating a birthday today. Will there be donuts? And how will you fit all the celebrants in the boat?
  9:51am Ken:

Will someone bring High and Confused up to speed? Because I am not capable of it.
  9:51am Ghengis Jung:

@High and Confused in New Jersey: For many years, people believe that the Hokey Pokey was what it was all about, but it has recently been discovered that, in fact, Corn Weenie is what it's all about...
  9:53am deix:

rilly, rilly. 'tis.
  9:53am JJZ:

I admit, I don't actually care about Corn Weenie fever.
  9:54am jan:

I think I have heard every program since the advent of Corn Weenie,
but I can't recall if the origin of this mantra was ever discussed. Ken, would you mind explaining?
  9:54am High and Confused:

Oh I get it not. (As I take a hit) So then Corn Weenie is the word
  9:55am raga:

ken, i think you're a corn weenie. REALLY, REALLY!
  9:56am Ghengis Jung:

Here is the Corn Weenie backstory: http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/06/365_days_155_le.html
  9:57am Cecile:

I love Kenny G.
Don't be hating on Kenny G.
  9:57am Cecile:

Does Guy Kawasaki let the good times roll?
  9:58am listener mark:

H & C, All Hail Corn Weenie. Just relax, close your eyes, let the waves of corn weenie engulf you. Don't forget to flush.
  9:58am gerardo:

i'm a kenny g fan, too, cecile

so it's two of us
  9:59am BSI:

Kenny G: There can be only one.

Don't worry about corn weenie overdose. It's JUST.NOT.POSSIBLE.
  9:59am jeremy, the listener:

speed please!
  9:59am Cecile:

He has two fans.
  9:59am Really really poetic:

I'm wound up by I Dream of Jeannie,
Or a Yellow Submarine Blue Meanie,
Or a James Bond shaken right martini,
Or a gassed-up gift-wrapped Lamborghini,
Or a magic wispy sheer bikini,
Or a plate of kick-ass tetrazzini,
But what really straightens a Pisa leanie,
And grows fresh hair on Mr. Cleanie,
The torpedo fit for a king or queenie,
The realest of dealies, life's gift...CORN WEENIE!
  10:01am Cecile:

less talk, more weenie. ;D
10:02am High and Confused in New Jersey:

Kenny G is the man. He's From Vagina
  10:02am Cecile:

but Ken, where can I find that Joy Division live thing you play all the time? It's great.
10:02am High and Confused in New Jersey:

By the way, does anybody wanna get high
  10:03am Ken:

I'm a Kenny G fan too I bet!
  10:03am postmanpaul:

ken - happy FIFTIETH and my condolences!
  10:03am dei x:

I'd like to be at your birthday roast, representing the out of context reaction footage of the out of sobriety Dean Martin. Because you DESERVE a bash that future generations can buy after seeing it on TV.
  10:04am gerardo:

so we're "three of a perfect pair"
  10:06am Cecile:

it takes "discipline" to be a Kenny G. fan.
  10:06am Aloysius Snuffleupagus:

Everybody knows about the word
  10:07am BSI:

FIJI IS GREAT!!!!!
  10:09am gerardo:

the rest... "it's only talk" ;)
  10:10am dc pat:

man, television were such crappy musicians...
  10:12am Cecile:

Yeah, but they were so damn good at it.

Genghis, this is actually really pretty!
  10:13am Ken:

Put that in conrexr for us Par - who is a "good" guitar player?
  10:13am Ken:

That would be "context for us, Pat"
  10:14am Ken:

Yeah, great job Ghengis!
  10:15am thelma:

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of your expulsion from your mother's uterus. Many happy corny weenies of the day.
  10:16am BSI:

oh jeezus, now peeing on the floor in savage delight........
  10:16am Cecile:

I am blown away at all of these.
  10:17am gavin:

...and a genre is born.
  10:17am Cecile:

themla, my dad used to say 'happy anniversary of your natal day", but I think I have to start using yours.
  10:20am Doug in DC:

Great edit there at the beginning!
  10:21am BSI:

so, how goes the search for Michael Proft? We need to get this guy on the phone for some on-air surreality....
  10:22am really really:

I can't get anything done I'm laughing so hard.

corn weenie
  10:22am jan:

This concentration on Corn Weenie- it's very much the programming style of Kenny G, despite your assertions otherwise.
  10:23am Ken:

Yes, what I would give for Michael Proft to do some marathon spots for me. Or to speak at my roast tonight.
  10:25am Cecile:

i hate to be impatient, but it can't be helped.
when's mine up?
  10:26am dc chris:

Hey Doug, what are the odds of getting played in the same set?
  10:26am BSI:

Doug is dancing on the ceiling again!
  10:26am Cecile:

what a feeling!
  10:26am Ken:

Next up Cecile! You done the right thing to speak up! I have my head up my ass, I bet!
  10:27am Doug from DC:

Weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie weenie
  10:27am thelma:

And don't forget to give credit to the late Mohammed El Bakkar for the basis of the Corn Weenie song "Haun Melee" (Sway with Me) on the 1957 Audio Fidelity LP or CD "Port Said."
  10:27am Cecile:

aw, hell naw birthday boy!

You have bad conference hangover.
  10:27am dc chris:

Oh what a feeling, corn weenies on the ceiling.
  10:28am jon:

how many weenies does it take to screw in a light bulb
  10:29am gerardo:

@jan:

"a good composer does not imitate; he steals." (igor stravinsky)

@ thelma:
thanx for the info - i suspected it was a different track

@cecile:
"when we're dancing on the ceiling"?...
(your remix sounds great ;))
  10:29am dc pat:

wish I hadn't been too lazy to do this...
  10:30am Siobhan Towey:

I am alone in my kitchen with the morning off and I am cracking up. Please don't ever stop with this Weenie business.
  10:30am Parq:

Yay, I got to my desk just in time for Cile's entry!
  10:31am Cecile:

yay me! I'm kinda proud...
  10:31am John From Oslo:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEN - ROCK ON!
  10:33am gerardo:

@ cecile:
i love it, let's dance!

@ ken:
i wish i could celebrate my birthday like this ;)
  10:34am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi. Happy birthday! And Happy Foundation Day to the folks in Japan! Enjoy a corn weenie on me. (Hmm...that doesn't sound right, come to think of it.)
  10:35am Cecile:

@gerardo - any time!
@ken - this is the best radio birthday party evah.
  10:35am gigantor:

You know, I thought I recognized that song. My parents had that album when I was growing up (Port Said by Mohammed el Bakkar); it had a rather attractive, scantily-clad harem girl on the cover.
  10:36am Cecile:

y-e-s
y-o-u
d-o
  10:37am Carmichael:

Good morning, Ken and everyone. What the f%&k did I walk in on?!? This is the comment list from Pink Flamingos ....

And apparently Happy Birthday Ken. I know not of these weenies of which you speak. But I am both disgusted and intrigued.
  10:38am jojo:

ken you sound even better in HD
  10:38am Parq:

Gigantor: mention scantily clad harem girls and I got all the incentive I need to head over to Google.

http://www.el-bakkar.com/images/Covers/PortSaid.jpg
  10:38am dc pat:

Ha, no I'm gonna "remix" it....
10:38am Tom ( The Bactrian Support NetWork ):

< radio geek . ok FM is CD quality and AM close to FM quality ...? who cares ?
  10:39am dc pat:

I meant "now" ..
  10:39am gerardo:

@ cecile:
you're too kind ;)

and concerning spelling it all, u have 2, mostly with a language where /i/ sound can be written in ... 4 different ways?
  10:39am High and Confused:

Corn Weenie is RETARDED
  10:39am smallybiggs:

what will I do without wfmu :(
  10:40am Cecile:

back annouce, Ken! ;D
  10:41am Aloysius Snuffleupagus:

@ High and Confused.
You're right dude this Corn Weenie shit is retarded
  10:41am Keili:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEN! KEEP BEASTIN'! xo
  10:41am Bill:

Hey Ken! - Do me! Play MY Weenie!!! I'd like it ... really, really...
  10:42am Cecile:

yay, Cramps tribute and Corn Weenie together!
  10:42am -max-:

Hello Ken. Good Happy Observed Birthday to you. You know what version I'm looking forward to, but obviously you have to pace yourself. We don't want you to shoot your load too quickly.
  10:44am gerardo:

@parq:
cover album is great, really nice
  10:44am Freddy:

LOL, all the customers in my shop think I'm crazy for listening to this station. They keep asking me to turn WFMU off, and put on some commercial shit. Fucking losers.
  10:45am gigantor:

Worth it, no? Kinda thing you remember when you are a young boy in the 70s.
  10:46am Freddy:

Gigantor the Space age Robot. What's up dude
  10:47am stu:

why does this vocalist sound like Fred Schneider from the B-52s?
  10:47am gerardo:

@ gigantor:
absolutely ;)
  10:50am Freddy:

Dude I think you spelt Maury wrong
  10:51am Cecile:

In New Zealand, it's called the Maori Povich show.
  10:52am postmanpaul:

gigantor - fortunately it is the kind of thing i cannot remember encountering when i was in my twenties in the seventies.
  10:52am paul:

wheeere's debbie?
  10:53am dei x:

You don't deserve to be punished. You're unworthy even of spite. *CRACK*
  10:53am -max-:

Nice WeenieMix there, B Janoff.
  10:53am Parq:

The hills are alive with the sound of spanking . . .
  10:53am KEILI!:

I feel like such a WEENIE... I can't come to your birfday party roast tonight. Have fun!
Hey Paulthepostman! you cheatin' on me with wfmu?!
  10:54am postmanpaul:

you flagellating on air again ken?
  10:54am jojo:

we called cocaine povich in college (philly) due to maury's rep from his days as the local tv broadcaster when he was evidently quite the zooted up white man about town, evidently during that era (whenever that was) that name was actually widely used "on the street"...
  10:55am postmanpaul:

hi keili, you're up late!
  10:55am dc chris:

We're all weenies now.
  10:55am gerardo:

maury = maori - another spelling feature ;)
  10:56am BSI:

A good showing from the DC corn-weenie crowd so far.
.....but we're missing one still, eh? (wink wink) (or weenie weenie)
  10:57am gerardo:

"really really"?)
  10:57am Cecile:

Gerardo, one English grammarian wrote a very funny book called "Crazy English" about our fascination with multiple spelling iterations.
  10:57am KEILI:

I couldn't miss Ken's birthday show Paul!
  10:58am Ghengis Jung:

Rokhausen! Amazing!
  11:00am gerardo:

@cecile:
thanx very much for the tip

btw, i received this mail yesterday:

"For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition
and health.
It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional
studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausage and fat and suffer
fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION:
Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you."

@ken:
when will remixes be available for downloading?
  11:01am JJZ:

I assumed it'd be a marathon premium.
  11:01am Cecile:

that's hilarious!

I am gobsmacked by these remixes.
  11:03am Carmichael:

Cecile, you really don't want to be gobsmacked. Trust me.
  11:04am Cecile:

I know, Carm. Just figuratively!
  11:05am Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment!
  11:07am Parq:

You're not Sean Daily! Sean would never forget the "whoo hoo". Who are you and what have you done with our pal??
  11:09am Cecile:

Just lookin' out for ya ....
  11:09am annie:

wooohooo!! second comment after sean's.
  11:09am Ken:

Fake Sean, honestly.

You're not only NOT even close to the first comment, you are COMMENT NUMBER 177.

The real Sean would never comment without knowing which number comment he was.
  11:10am Carmichael:

Whoops. Mis-named post meant FOR Cecile. Jeez, too many corn weenies ....
  11:11am Cecile:

Yeah, It was a weird but not completely unpleasant experience. ;D.
  11:11am Cecile:

becoming Carm for a minute, that is.
  11:12am Ogunh:

This is the first comment after the last comment.
  11:13am Cecile:

Ken, it's the real Sean.
He just got a big head after BIlly Jam dedicated a show to him. ;D
  11:14am Cecile:

expecting us to know what comment, geez.
  11:14am gerardo:

@ken:
i started thinking that sean daily was an invention, like emmanuel goldstein...

@cecile and carmichael:
gobsmacked - a new new word

becoming Carm? sounds like being john malkovich or something?
  11:16am BillyJam:

hey Ken, just sent over Arabic/Scratch remix of Corn Weenie via YouSEndIt.... See email for download link....thanks!
  11:16am Cecile:

exactly
  11:17am Sean Daily:

Okay, okay, I'm not exactly up to snuff... I haven't had much sleep... and doing "Woo-hoos" aren't exactly easy you know... I am, after all, an AAAARRRRRRR-tist.

Anyway...

First comment from Sean Daily today with "Woo hoo!" in it! Woo hoo!
  11:18am thelma:

Locating the Port Said Album, I find the track is " Haun Meelee" track one on the second side, translated as "Sway Here." It is a very lively belly dance album, recommended for anyone attempting the art , or for someone into folk classics of Arabic music. The cover has a fairly nude dancer ,with severe eye make- up and glitter nipple protectors. She could use a corn weenie.
  11:18am Carmichael:

Cecile, being me even for a minute is worse than being gobsmacked.

But at least you don't end up on the Jersey turnpike after being me.
  11:20am Bob:

I'm going to count you as a few years older, so as not to have you younger than me by 5 yrs. It's Andy math.
  11:21am Parq:

Whoa, Ken, go brush your teeth.
  11:21am bbell:

I got lightheaded doing alternate nostril breathing in yoga class yesterday. Be careful or just be sitting down.
  11:21am Sean Daily:

All right, everyone, alternate ventricle fibrilation... first the right ventricle... now the ACK (thud)
  11:21am kath of chi:

ken i can hear your nadis choking from the strain.
  11:22am trrrish:

alternate nostril breathing-- isn't it just promoting oxygen deficiency? if it's done long enough, wouldn't it just lead to a lengthy sleep or maybe a nap?
  11:22am BSI:

alternate nostril weenie!
I'll tell you when to breathe.........
  11:24am Lalena:

LOL. I love the alternate nostril breathing. I'm at home sick and clogged too.

Olbas is helping though. :) And your show!
  11:24am paul:

woooo!!!!
  11:24am detroitdave:

Ken, your a whack job but I can't stop listening.........your hilarious!
  11:25am Doug from DC:

Cecile, great job on your remix. I got called into a meeting right after, so I couldn't say at the time. I heard Kenny G read the Cupcake Dog poem in the archives yesterday. Way cool! But I should mention that Intangible Arts is BSI's blog, not mine.
  11:25am paul:

actually that should read There's A Place at Coney Island That Sells Really Really Mediocre Fish Sandwiches
  11:27am BSI:

yeh, I belted Kenny G an email after he said that, but no on-air correction! That Kenny Gee is too damned professional! But it was great to hear the poem delivered by The Master.....
  11:27am Cecile:

Oh, geez. I'm sorry. But hey, BSI went to my blog! Coolness!

and thanks!
  11:29am Cecile:

this is a jam, BSI.
  11:29am gerardo:

@cecile:

"pleeze", send me the link to yer blog
  11:29am BSI:

wheee! There's the little weenie.
thanks ken...
  11:29am chris:

Is ti possible to download shows or are they only available to stream?
Great stuff Ken!
  11:30am Cecile:

I'll post it.
It's kind of boring, I just obssess about Scottish Terriers, the amortization of my clothes, and I put some Slayer concert pictures...

But Cupcake Dog is immortalized...

the link is: www.dowdydiva.blogspot.com
  11:30am gerardo:

corn weenie remixes for downloading now!
  11:32am Ken:

I'm sorry everybody, I will get these all on the blog for downloading but it might take me a few days. I'm now 16 days late and $17.54 short.
  11:33am Ken:

That's right, big UPS to Stump!!! Best in Show. Cool dog for once.
  11:34am gerardo:

@cecile:
added to favorites ;)

@ken:
ok. we'll be waiting ;)
  11:34am Greg G from DC:

It is rumored that Scott Asheton went to the Great Fillmore in the sky from consuming too many corn weenies, but I hate to bring this up, for I think you have exhausted that tribute ... but then ... this may be coded continuation that never ends???? Hmmmm?
  11:35am paul:

corn WEENies!
  11:36am Doug from DC:

@Cecile, I checked out your blog when you posted the poem to it. Thanks!

My main online deal is www.myspace.com/voiceofthegoldfish.
  11:36am Ken:

Greg. RON Asheton, not Scott.
  11:36am BSI:

oh, and thanks to Chris V, Mike B, Nathan, Jo, Mike S, Marian, and Su Hong for participating in the BSI Weenie Chorus....
  11:37am Cecile:

we need to hear some Flight of the Conchords funny babymaking music now
  11:38am kEN:

cECILE!! I have the CD here! WHat track do you want?
  11:38am Cecile:

if you're into it, that is, Ken.
  11:38am postmanpaul:

ken - a DJedi now you are. and growing older you never will.
  11:39am Cecile:

Bizness time or The Most Beautiful Girl in the ROom
Or Ladies of the World
  11:39am Disastrogirl:

I made Michael a Flickr page where you can see more of his paintings. It's all older stuff, since that's all I had handy, but I'll be uploading his newer works soon. I don't have a link now because Flickr is blocked here at work, but if you do a search for Michael Proft you should be able to find him.
  11:41am Cribley:

Isn't this track making you sleeeepy, Ken?
  11:41am gerardo:

funny babymaking music... come to think of that concept...
  11:43am Parq:

One minute listening to Ken on FMU is like two minutes with any other radio station.
  11:44am Ken:

That was a terrible insult, Parq. And on my observed birthday, no less.
  11:45am Cecile:

no, two minutes of Ken on Wednesday is better than one minute of Ken on Wednesday
  11:45am jojo:

this business time is a great version of corn weenie
  11:46am Greg G from DC:

YES, SCOTT and not Ron Asheton ... thank's for the correction Ken, and my apologies to Ron and family .... this is what happens when you work through the night non-stop starting with Mary McSorlrley and ending it with Ken, I don't use hours to keep track of time anymore, just which FMU DJ I've been listening to! Wow, ... I just realized how strange I've become!
  11:48am Parq:

Ken, I'm not surprised, but I'm feeling sleepy just now.
  11:48am chris:

This one is incredible
  11:48am W.C. Fields:

"Ken's shift? Wonderful show...spent a week there one morning."
  11:48am Cecile:

business hours are over?
  11:48am Vicki:

I love this mashup, it's even better than the songs it came from
  11:49am Charlie:

Happy Birthday, Ken!
  11:50am gerardo:

  11:55am annie:

  11:56am Cecile:

  11:58am postmanpaul:

  11:58am gerardo:

  11:58am Laura L:

  11:58am Greg G from DC:

All of Ann Arbor is burning extra candles on everything they eat today in honor of your Birthday today ... so Happy Birthday Ken!!!!

  12:00pm Vicki:

I'm a band
  12:01pm still b/p:

Why does that misassignment happen here with some regularity, Cecile? I ain't never been confused about it.
(Comment ladies sing this song,
Dude? AHHHH!
Dude? AHHHH!)
  12:01pm Laura L:

Hi Vicki-
Baloney Lady's a corn weenie.
  12:03pm Vicki:

this is great
  12:03pm gerardo:

yes, u are, vicki
  12:04pm Cecile:

I dunno.
When I occasionally write stuff about like metal bands in free weeklies and whatnot, I either get mistaken for a guy or get marriage proposals relayed to me through friends.

No marriage proposals from guys thinking I'm a guy, or girls knowing I'm a girl, though.
  12:05pm gerardo:

this ken's rant reminds me of my university years...
  12:07pm Harvey:

greatness
  12:23pm The Grim Reaper:

You know you just barely made it this year.
  12:29pm fatty jubbo:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH PALIN!
  12:52pm ozzy skateboard:

A perfect example of why WFMU is the greatest station in the history of music type stuff.....
Happy Birthday Kenny G?
  7:35pm bw:
