good morning ken

Wed. 2/25/09 9:04am From: John from Oslo

g'morning Ken - love Negativland!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:04am From: Lizardner Dave

Mornin Ken, welcome back from Utah. Nice corn weenie video you did. Warren Miller would be proud.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:07am From: Ghengis Jung

Negativland is Bloomberg's favorite band?

Wed. 2/25/09 9:08am From: lovich

Morning all... from sunny negativland of Macedonia/3:08am.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:09am From: emma

haha... whoa ive never heard that casey casem negativeland free-for-all played on an fm station:
i won't say anything to the fcc... bravo! :)

Wed. 2/25/09 9:09am From: Ken

Yes, Bloomberg was here this morning and after serious consideration, he told me that U2 was his favorite band. U2, I should point out, are not onlty not from New York, they are not even Merkins.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:11am From: emma

for some reason i always imagine casey dressed up like robin from batman. u do know he did the voice. Fuckin ponderous! ponderous!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:13am From: Parq

Emma, I prefer to picture Kasim as Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Ken, did Mayor Mike have anything to say about the black velvet gallery?

Wed. 2/25/09 9:15am From: Ike

I love Negativland!

Annie, that was the more-or-less radio-safe version. (And I always hated Robin from Batman. Batman should be alone.)

Wed. 2/25/09 9:16am From: BSI

I'd prefer to imagine Shaggy and Batman.
Cruisin' for chicks and junk food.
...that's livin'...

Wed. 2/25/09 9:17am From: Mark

Mebbe Mayor Mike likes U2 because in Bono he's found someone who is not taller than him.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:20am From: Ike

Always hated Shaggy too. I guess I like my cartoons ponderous, man, really ponderous!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:24am From: Cecile

Hola everyone!
Wow, Ken meeting with the uppa crust!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:25am From: Cecile

Pssssss. Corn weenie. Corn weenie!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:27am From: Parq

'Cile, aren't you excited? You're going to be a marathon premium! Ken, call Dell customer support and put the call on the air.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:27am From: hans from norway

KEN!!!! get a mac computer!!!! no more problems with playing music

Wed. 2/25/09 9:27am From: Cecile

aw, shoot. I'm sad.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:28am From: Cecile

hans, I must agree. LOVE my powerbook.
Or maybe one of our talented hardware people on the board could cobble him together a laptop

Wed. 2/25/09 9:30am From: Cecile

Two weird record dreams:

I had this weird dream where I was telling Ronnie James Dio that while I liked him as a person, I really didn't like Dio all that much (WHICH IS A LIE). I think he gently shamed me into looking for a copy "Dio's Greatest Hits" (which I don't think even exists) at Wazoo Used Records in Ann Arbor. Which, incidentally, had been turned into some kind of weird Pottery Barn open-air flea market. I actually had the record in my hand, but the crush of people in layered tank tops and designer flip-flops moved me away from my 25 cent prize. Then I woke up.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:31am From: BSI

naw, seriously: I love the idea of getting a Dell phone-support geezer on the air. They owe you THAT much at least, Ken...

Wed. 2/25/09 9:31am From: Cecile

Another dream I posted on my blog a long time ago:

Doesn't this sound great, jazzheads? A collaboration between onetime Joe McPhee guitarist Raymond Boni, and former President of the Czech Republic Václav Havel? It's on Hat Hut records, called Intermediary and has a cool yellow abstract cover. The chemistry between the two is unbelievable: Boni makes magnificent noises from his six-string, and I never knew the Prez could play clarinet so sweetly.

Alas.

You know you've been collecting records for too long when you dream about ones that don't exist.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:32am From: thecleef

Although not Ponty, you should play Willie the Pimp .

Wed. 2/25/09 9:32am From: Lizardner Dave

I still have the DJ nightmare of not being able to get in the studio when you're supposed to be on the air and I haven't been a college radio DJ since 1991.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:33am From: Mark

Willy the Pimp is too tainted by Zappa

Wed. 2/25/09 9:34am From: gerardo

hola, hola a todos!

@ken:
t's ok - i have no laptop - therefore, even stinkiest audio/video card ;)

(cb & jlp steaing records?!)

@cecile:
nice to read you again!. congrats!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:35am From: Cecile

congrats for what? Or just general congrats? ;D

Wed. 2/25/09 9:36am From: Cecile

Ken, can you play some Flight of the Conchords. Coz I am obsessed.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:38am From: Ike

Dell sucks but that doesn't mean PCs are all bad. Putting together one's own PC works nicely and cheaply. I don't trust laptops though, neither PC nor Mac. Computers like to stay still, even with today's technology.

I don't get Flight of the Conchords.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:39am From: gerardo

@cecile:
for your inclusion in the corn weenie comp

Wed. 2/25/09 9:41am From: Cecile

Ike: you don't have to. I get 'em enough for both of us.

You should put together a mobile unit for Ken, Ike!

Oh, thank you!
Where is the corn weenie comp listing?

Wed. 2/25/09 9:41am From: north guinea hills

rupture makes this sound better then the original skream version

Wed. 2/25/09 9:42am From: Tobias Fünke - Analrapist.

Your unplanned shows are the best.
Proving once again instinct > intellect.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:43am From: Cecile

*cries laughing at AD reference*

Wed. 2/25/09 9:43am From: Parq

'Clie, the corn weeenie comp is Ken's 'thon premium. I don't know for a fact that you're on it, but I can scarcely imagine that you wouldn't be.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:43am From: north guinea hills

reminds of an update on this dj soulslinger/elliot sharp record i have from 2000

Wed. 2/25/09 9:43am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

WaddaWaddaWadda!!!!!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:45am From: gerardo

this is leap of faith, then:

"ask, and ye shall find yer corn weenie in compilation" ;)

Wed. 2/25/09 9:46am From: Cecile

I just want folks to hear the one I did in honor of the sex change Ken gave me on-air.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:46am From: Ken

uGH.. Still trying to get my laptop to put out some noise-free sound. I will post all Corn Weenie remixes later today on the original blog post.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:47am From: Ken

I never thought I'd say this, but I think it is time I switch to a Mac.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:48am From: gerardo

i'll be honored to listen to mine after yours

Wed. 2/25/09 9:48am From: SmokinJ

Bite your lip brother Ken!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:48am From: Ike

NO KEN NO! Don't go over to the iTunes-controlled dark side!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:48am From: -max-

Finally!

Wed. 2/25/09 9:49am From: Cecile

I like my Mac.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:49am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Ken...Go here: http://www.apple.com/

Wed. 2/25/09 9:50am From: hans from norway

yes Ken. mac is the best. I love my macbook.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:51am From: gerardo

i never thought of reading ken so "close to the edge"...

Wed. 2/25/09 9:52am From: SmokinJ

Fuck Mac...

Wed. 2/25/09 9:52am From: ?

and swap traktor dj for ableton while youre at it. really really.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:53am From: BSI

Not to fuel the platform wars here (evil on both sides), but it sounds like the alternative to mac is a buncha static & no tunes. Therefore...

Wed. 2/25/09 9:53am From: John from Oslo

sMACk, better than PCp

Wed. 2/25/09 9:54am From: Cecile

BSI, you drop wisdom on us.

Wed. 2/25/09 9:55am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Can't you ask your buddy Mike B for one?

Wed. 2/25/09 9:59am From: gerardo

taking BSI point, did anyone try a 4:33 corn weenie?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:00am From: Mark

Could always go back to playing vinyl

Wed. 2/25/09 10:02am From: SmokinJ

Brilliant concept!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:02am From: hans from norway

i have macbook and dell laptop. dell is like my wife and my mac is like my young sweet hot perfect girlfriend i spend all my time with!!! (PS! i dont have wife or girlfriend.. spending all my time with computers)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:03am From: Cecile

Is a cross-platform notebook like a hot wife? ;D

Wed. 2/25/09 10:03am From: SmokinJ

Get a LIfe Hans! ;)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:03am From: north guinea hills

sounds like alec empire has finally transcended his hormonal angst stage at the ripe age of 36...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:05am From: BSI

speaking of said corn weenies, I highly endorse the use of Tiger Tiger brand vindaloo sauce as a dipping agent. Mucho effing tasty.
...and with that, I've become stupidly hungry.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:05am From: Ike

Love this Alec Empire.

Dell = buncha static and no tunes. PC does not necessarily mean that. Just Dell. Mac = more money, fewer software choices, and stuck with crappy iTunes.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:06am From: SmokinJ

THANK YOU Ike!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:08am From: postmanpaul

...just rolled up, hi ken and world. who cares which platform we're on unless we're catching a train?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:08am From: gerardo

thnx, ike ;) - i also support pcs

Wed. 2/25/09 10:08am From: north guinea hills

Ken, are you retelling your dream for Irwin?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:08am From: hans from norway

its tru!! iTunes is not that good.. but i have iPhone and iPod so I have to use it:(

Wed. 2/25/09 10:09am From: kat

Beefheart = Obama?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:10am From: SmokinJ

Just think Linux..

Wed. 2/25/09 10:10am From: Cecile

I like it OK.

KEN - I will adopt you. The check's in the mail.

NO! someone adopted Kenny G?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:10am From: Parq

J'regret, someone else adopted Clay Pigeon before I could.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:11am From: Ike

Hans, on PC, Winamp works with iPod. Not sure about iPhone.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:12am From: bb

i've had no problems with my older version of traktor....but my dell laptop has gone to hell...and am now considering how to replace it....since i can't use traktor, audition, or any maudio editing tools these days...

i dont think i can convert to mac with you, htough, ken...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:12am From: chris

Macs rule and yes iTunes kind of sucks.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:12am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Whooo Hooo, you go girl!!!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:15am From: postmanpaul

hans, realplayer is ok @28k and you can rewind!. but i prefer itunes @128k on my mac playing thru my harman/cardon dildos.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:16am From: Cecile

I own you now, Ken.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:16am From: hans from norway

Corn weenie is better than mac and pc together!! :-)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:17am From: -max-

Pork corn weenies were consumed at Ken's roast two weeks ago. They were quite the hit and quickly disappeared.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:17am From: gerardo

congrats again, cecile ;D

Wed. 2/25/09 10:17am From: Cecile

these remixes are awesome.

Hans - corn weenie is the hot wife.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:18am From: Doug in DC

I have the opposite problem. My Dell laptop won't die, and I wish it would. It's getting old, but if it doesn't croak on it's own, I can't justify replacing it now.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:19am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Has anyone tried the vegetarian corn weenies? They're terrible.....

Wed. 2/25/09 10:19am From: Cecile

Is this Jilly Bam's remix?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:19am From: hans from norway

Cecile: yes, corn weenie is the super wife

Wed. 2/25/09 10:20am From: jojo

Hans-post your crazy Dell laptop movie link

Wed. 2/25/09 10:20am From: sebastian

que talca gerardo? cómo cachaste este brillito? nótese el coa pa pasar piola jeje.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:21am From: gerardo

kinda, ccile ;)

(so superwifes are cornweenied?)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:22am From: jojo

where can you get a good corndog these days?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:23am From: Cecile

MN State Fair - they have cornweenies, and Pronto Pups (which are only part cornmeal in the batter). mmmm.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:23am From: Doug from DC

Of course, if anyone has any suggestions as to how I could kill a Dell laptop and make it look like an accident, then my employers could buy me a new one...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:23am From: jojo

scratch "good", just a corndog

Wed. 2/25/09 10:23am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

The Minnesota sate fair......

Wed. 2/25/09 10:23am From: gerardo

¿dos chilenos escuchando la 'fmu?
wiiiiina, emmano, jajaja

desde el año 2005, cuando ví a la hoof & mouth sinfonia en la maratón correspondiente a ese año.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:24am From: hans from norway

jojo: nice to see you here:) people would think i'm totally crazy if they see my youtube video;) but anyway; just search for "HP laptop vs guns" on youtube

Wed. 2/25/09 10:24am From: Cecile

Doug - pour your coffee, tea, hemlock, whatever into the keyboard...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:25am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Doug from DC, Mustard and Ketchup!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:25am From: Cecile

aw, yeah!
Geez, I mixed that too low.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:26am From: sebastian

es la zorra manito... como que uno ya no puede escuchar radio normal, ¿no? yo trato de transmitir a mis conocidos la profunda emoción que me produce esta vaina y cri cri. no one gets it. get it?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:26am From: wha?

was that "girl" in the mix FOTC?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:27am From: gerardo

i love it, cecile

there's always time for "re-remixing" ;)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:27am From: Cecile

Yis!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:28am From: Mac

What with all of the Corn Weenies I have to ask about 'City Chicken'? (and how many have even heard of it?) Reprocessed chicken pieces, pressed, breaded and fried like McNuggets, but formed into the shape of a Drumstick and stuck on a popsicle stick. Another fine food found at State Fairs and eaten with one hand.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:30am From: Cecile

I am blown away by the wealth of ideas Corn Weenie has generated.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:30am From: still b/p

If y'can git corn weenies there, then, yes, the Minnesota sate fair is exactly what it is. Nomenclature of gorge-us precision.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:31am From: Cecile

You can get everything on a stick at the MN State Fair.

Gerardo, was that yours? That was cool.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:31am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

That image of Pancakes and sausage is making me nauseous!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:32am From: Cecile

I am a girl who owns your mangy carcass, Ken.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:33am From: Cecile

Ken you have to have milk punch.
Sounds disgusting, but is magically delicious.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:33am From: Parq

"Pork corn weenies" sounds like an imperative sentence you would say in disgust. "More corn weenie remixes? Aw, *pork* corn weenies, I'm sick of it!"

Wed. 2/25/09 10:33am From: jojo

i will try arthur treachers at lunch and report back

Wed. 2/25/09 10:33am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

It's the huge Turkey legs that get me.......but I do think the MN state fair is one of the scariest places I've ever been.....

Wed. 2/25/09 10:34am From: Parq

Aw gee, 'Cile, I was in commute when it played. Robin, to the archive-mobile!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:34am From: gerardo

yeah!

thanx, ken, for playing my remix close to cecile's (yes, that was mine ;D)

¡más encima a uno le tocan y guardan los remixes que hace, puh, sebas!, ¿cómo no va a querer uno esta radio?. es un camino sin vuelta atrás...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:34am From: Doug from DC

Cecile, milk with booze in it?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:35am From: Lewis

Can we pledge to a prize account? How do I indicate that on the web pledge page?
saving my pennies....

Wed. 2/25/09 10:35am From: Cecile

that is true.
I do love the crafts and the booths with the pickles.
Also the seed art booth. There's this woman who makes pictures of Che Guevara and Malcolm X out of seeds.

Yes. Sounds terrible. Is really surprsingly tasty.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:36am From: Mark

I've been holding going out of business sale signs on street corners to raise money to give to the WFMU marathon

Wed. 2/25/09 10:39am From: Carmichael

Good morning, Kenneth et al. In no order:

Deep fried chicken sandwiches inside a Krispy Kreme donut can be found at my State Fair.
My Sony VAIO has run like a top for 3 years.
Even the Irish resist claiming U2.
Instead of milk punch, Ken, you should have a Snakebite: Guinness and hard apple cider.
I am currently wearing my WFMU "Escuche!" shirt, in anticipation of pledge week.
I will never have another corn weenie as long as I live. When I recently had the flu, it was the last thing I ate and 1st thing I saw.
However, I was enraptured with the idea of "hush puppies" when I arrived here. They still taste delightful.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:39am From: paul

sure this isnt the new Anna Elektronische?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:41am From: Ken

Paul - You might be right..

Wed. 2/25/09 10:41am From: Cecile

I like snakebites, carm, but milk punch is traditional...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:43am From: Carmichael

We're obviously from different parts of Mother Earth, 'Cile. And that's OK. Is this drink of which you speak a Minnesotan thang?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:43am From: Doug from DC

It doesn't look bad:
http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1687625
A lot better than chocolate chip pancakes and sausage on a stick!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:44am From: Cecile

no, it's what people drink in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:45am From: BSI

JEEZUS, Doug, don't invoke chocolate chip pancakes so close to lunch... urp!

Wed. 2/25/09 10:45am From: Mark

wow is Larry taking out ads on buses now?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:45am From: Cecile

Ken and Andy are having a Mardi Gras show today.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:46am From: GP

Ken,
Finally getting to listen to a bit of your show after having to endure a Wednesday morning meeting for the last three weeks.....even missed to Corn -Weenie remix festivus..
Glad to be back.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:46am From: Carmichael

Seriously? Yet something else unique to their culture ... (was that politically correct enough, and void of any indicative emotion??)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:48am From: Ken

That's right Cecile, we are doing a Mardi Gras show tonight from 6-7 but it's female callers only so please go back to your female persona.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:48am From: Cecile

Yis.
Yes, New Orleans is its own unique vibe/place.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:49am From: Cecile

ok-dokey! (switches out chips in brain)

So, Ken now that I own you, what happens next?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:50am From: The Voice of Cheeze

Does that mean Jason Forrest has to goback to being DJ Donna Summer?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:51am From: gerardo

now that u are a girl, cecile, i remember ken was asking for a dominatrix two weeks ago... is that role ok for you?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:53am From: Cecile

Sure, what the hell?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:54am From: GP

MAC...where are you able to get city chicken? This is so weird but I was just telling someone about tit he other day...(I'm in Texas)..the last city chicken I ever had was made by my grandma, but I though it was made out of pork. for some reason..I guess Pork-Chicken sounds unappetizing...except a s a band name.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:55am From: gerardo

"that's my baby!"

Wed. 2/25/09 10:55am From: GP

sorry about IT not about tit...(sorry Sigmund!)

Wed. 2/25/09 10:56am From: Pat in Philadelphia

Is that Mark E. Smith's old man grumble I hear?

Wed. 2/25/09 10:56am From: Cecile

Yup!
LOL, Pat!
I was joking for weeks after I saw the Fall a few years back that Mark E. now has "grandpa butt" - i.e. none...

Wed. 2/25/09 10:59am From: Mac

I am showing my age. Mom bought City Chicken at the Kroegers on the eastside of Detroit back in '64. Last time I saw it was at the Michigan State Fair in 1973.

Wed. 2/25/09 10:59am From: bbell

Yoga will cure that!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:00am From: Pat in Philadelphia

God bless 'em, Cecile. I saw the Fall a hand full of years ago, around the time the Real New Fall LP came out I think and this was the tour where he'd broken his hip. It was both sad and inspirational seeing him helped onto the stage and sit at a desk with lyrics strewn about.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:01am From: GP

10-4 MAC..my grandma was originally from Cleveland, so it is kind of a Yankee food...but soooooo good and it is hard to argue with any food on a stick. Check it out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_chicken

Wed. 2/25/09 11:02am From: Cecile

aw, pat that is bittersweet.
I don't know what I will do when he splits this plane, seriously.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:03am From: Parq

Aren't Dell and Sony laptops manufactured overseas too? I have a Lenovo, which I find a better than Dell but still not terrific. I just assumed that all high-tech hardware comes from offshore nowadays.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:04am From: Sean Daily

Corn weenie! Really really! Woo hoo!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:04am From: Mark

best wishes to Mark E smith who broke his hip again.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:04am From: GP

Ken,
Have the station buy you a Fujitsu notebook or a Panasonic Toughbook.if you are going to stay with the PC format..both are built like a tank.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:05am From: Tristram in Brooklyn

Ken are you planing another Art auction sometime?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:06am From: Doug in DC

Cecile, some old codgers just hang on and on, sort of like my Dell laptop. My uncle, jeez a fifth a day and three packs of smokes, and he made it to 85. With some pieces missing.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:06am From: Cecile

whee, this is mine again!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:06am From: Pat in Philadelphia

Ugh, Mark you're right:

Mark has broken his hip again and is in hospital. The Blaney/Smith gig in Cardiff has been postponed and they hope to reschedule it for the end of March. I'm not sure whether the Leeds gig on 6 March is going ahead but I'm assuming it is.

From the Unofficial Fall Site. Sheesh!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:07am From: Cecile

Aw, mark!
Man, he should be on Boniva or something.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:07am From: gerardo

i love your sense of rhythm, cecile - kinda aphex twin?...

Wed. 2/25/09 11:08am From: Ike

Parq, sure, but IMHO "made in China" usually = crap (unless it's food), while other offshore locales don't necessarily make crap.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:09am From: Mac

Thanks for the Wiki directions. Gave me a good laugh PLUS I was educated to the difference between Hamtramck (Poletown) MI and Cleveland versions of City Chicken. We never had it with gravy.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:09am From: Cecile

I was kind of trying to fake a High Contrast record - I love his work.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:09am From: Cecile

Hamtramck!
I still miss Lili's

Wed. 2/25/09 11:10am From: dragonflyshards

cornweenie

Wed. 2/25/09 11:11am From: Ken

Wowm a reference to Lilis in Hamtramck! Amazing. Did you ever see The Mutants talk show there?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:11am From: trishh

That record wave image is excellent.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:11am From: chris

has the origin of the corn weenie original track been disclosed?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:12am From: Mark

Boniva, ha good one, Mark E Smith probably does have postmenopausal osteoporosis

Wed. 2/25/09 11:12am From: GP

LOL I just spit out my tea, this trippy echo laden Corn-Weenie mix is killing me...is this yours Cecile?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:12am From: Cecile

No, never did.
Although I saw quite a few shows there. Loved the trash bags on the ceiling...

Wed. 2/25/09 11:13am From: bbell

That photo of corn weenies on a warming tray has me seriously considering finding one for lunch.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:13am From: Cecile

no, mine was the one that the inaudible Quiet Storm mix about 1/2 hour ago, and the garage mix after the brush bandit.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:14am From: Mac

She swings it in the city, she swings it out of town.
And when the preacher saw her, he laid his Bible down.
She's swings it to the left and and she swings it to the right,
But the way she swings it best is the way she swings it every night.
She's a Hamtramck Momma, and she sure does know her stuff.
She's the hotted thing in town, Lordy how she can love.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:14am From: Carmichael

Slumdog Corn Weenie!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:14am From: Ken

This is the original track right now.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:14am From: BSI

Wed. 2/25/09 11:15am From: gerardo

the original track is called "haun mellee", and is being played right now

Wed. 2/25/09 11:15am From: chris

nice Ken.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:15am From: Chirs from DC

Dang, I step out for a few minutes and I missed my Corn Weenie thing. Thanks Ken!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:15am From: J-Mar

So do you think that if I go to a lunch counter and order a Hawn Melee, they'll know what I'm talking about?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:16am From: Cecile

I have my track suit and my tennis shoes, beam me up!

Chris, that was awesome.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:16am From: jan

Probably a contrarian view, but the original recipe weenie is best!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:16am From: dragonflysh

Wed. 2/25/09 11:17am From: Chris from DC

Wow thanks. I had fun with it.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:17am From: John from Oslo

Wed. 2/25/09 11:28am From: Pat in Philadelphia

Couldn't resist.

And will forever end this reign of terror
Before Mark E. Smith falls
Before the tide subsides
Before Mark E. Smith falls for the fifth time
Before The Fall swoons

Wed. 2/25/09 11:28am From: drgnflysha

markE i thought YOU were th pharmacist -uh.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:31am From: trishh

I can still hear my friend's accented voice, from >20 years ago, who used to randomly mimic British darts tv broadcasters. An expressive, "..a hundred and forty!"

Wed. 2/25/09 11:32am From: Ken

Nicole Ritchie really really likes Corn Dogs. I'm just sayin...

Wed. 2/25/09 11:33am From: Pat in Philadelphia

I have no idea what The Night Air is, but boy did I enjoy it!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:37am From: Cecile

aw, yeah, the Warriors...that was great.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:37am From: Ken

Sorry Mark, you can't post an image here yet. Pat in Philly - The Night Air is a national radio show in Australia.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:39am From: ddrrgnnflyshds

Wed. 2/25/09 11:39am From: Mark

Wed. 2/25/09 11:39am From: gerardo

cornweenicole?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:40am From: Sean Daily

Am I the only person who thinks that "The Warriors" would have been way cooler if Cyrus HADN'T been assassinated?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:40am From: Ken

This Warriors remix is one of the contenders I think!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:40am From: Mark

so post a link to it Mr Mark E

Wed. 2/25/09 11:41am From: frenchee

Cyrus Weenie Warrior Mix, yeah!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:41am From: Pat in Philadelphia

You're right Rocky. That's when all the racism comes wafting out. Speak english or no shitty sandwich for you! Knowwhaddamean?!

Also, thanks for the info Ken!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:44am From: Ken

Why are there so few pictures of Nicole Ritchie with Corn Weenies?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:45am From: Mark

was that the Jandek remix?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:45am From: Parq

Ken, because the market would become glutted and the value of the existing ones would tank. Allen Greenspan explained that to me.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:46am From: Ken

I dont agree Parq. I think the market can handle huge amounts of Nicole Ritchie Corn Dog imagery.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:46am From: Ken

Nice job, The Human!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:47am From: Mark

because she gobbles them down before anyone can get a picture?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:48am From: Ghengis Jung

This is GREAT!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:48am From: The Human

Ha! thanks. Corn Weenie is the most powerful earworm ever

Wed. 2/25/09 11:48am From: Cecile

this is awesome, as was yours, Ghenghis!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:49am From: The Human

Thanks. Corn Weenie is the most powerful earworm ever

Wed. 2/25/09 11:50am From: dragonfryshrds

mbe its cause she usually eats them in private. (cornweenie)

Wed. 2/25/09 11:50am From: Carmichael

Did I walk to the printer and miss Jandek?!!!?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:50am From: Parq

I like this "Baby Elephant Walk" one. Kind of avant-retard Vicki-esque.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:51am From: Listenerer David

Has anybody done an Elizabeth Alexander Inaugurable Poem/Corn Weenie remix? Did I miss it? What if the mightiest word is corn weenie?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:51am From: GP

What is she looking at?

Maybe..we need a Paris Hilton on the Right...a diptych if you will.... of dipshi*s!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:52am From: Cecile

the mightiest word is cupcake.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:53am From: Pat in Philadelphia

Sorry Rocky. Though my name may be Pat I actually own Jim's Steaks on South St. But that doesn't change the fact that Geno's Steaks come slathered in racism! Suh-lathered!!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:53am From: Mark

I believe you are an impostor Mark E for the real Mark E once claimed that he knew all about the internet because his fans invented the internet

Wed. 2/25/09 11:53am From: Carmichael

David, corn weenie is the mightiest phrase. You would have to choose between the 2 for mightiest word, depending on your market demographic.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:53am From: drragnfllyysshh

mmm.cupcakes.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:57am From: GP

Ken,
Can I disguise my voice?

Wed. 2/25/09 11:58am From: Ken From Hyde Park

For some reason, my Winamp player keeps cutting out and reconnecting. Connection is working OK in iTunes. This is the only time I use iTunes since I only listen to free music like WFMU.

Wed. 2/25/09 11:58am From: Ken

I will be posting the link to the blogpost with all the Corn Weenie Remixes here later on today. Dont let me down next week folks!!

Wed. 2/25/09 11:58am From: Otis

I love you Corn Weenie

Wed. 2/25/09 12:00pm From: GP

Wed. 2/25/09 12:01pm From: Ken From Hyde Park

"Pledge first, ask questions later."

Wed. 2/25/09 12:01pm From: Cornweenie
