first second comment, woohoo!

Tue. 2/10/09 9:16am From: Raf

Morning, Jason!

Tue. 2/10/09 9:26am From: Jesse

i'm grooving to this shit it in china

Tue. 2/10/09 9:28am From: Ike

Wow, that "TV in My Eye" song is awesome. There's a sci-fi concept I haven't heard much about lately. But the question is, will we also get DVRs in our eyes, and a petabyte of MP3s in a mole-sized player in our ear canals?

Tue. 2/10/09 9:29am From: Jason

Morning Raf, Paul, Smokin J, Jesse, Ike and every1. Wow, where in China Jesse?

Tue. 2/10/09 9:30am From: Jesse

I can't believe it was from 81. new china.

Tue. 2/10/09 9:41am From: Ike

New China?! That's vague. All of China is new, b/c they constantly throw out, tear down, and disrespect anything old.

I had trouble getting on the net when I was in China (Jinghong, Chengdu), much less tuning in FMU. Apparently the net cafe cards were rationed. And almost everyone in the country was incredibly rude, nasty, and unpleasant, and smoked extra-extra-vile cigarettes constantly. Food was amazing, though.

Tue. 2/10/09 9:45am From: SmokinJ

Right On!

Tue. 2/10/09 9:49am From: Jesse

Yeah! Thats where I am. A smokey internet cafe' in Chengdu. But its really fast and listening to wfmu takes me back home in so many ways. Do you ever think that we are still in the 80's and this is the future?

Tue. 2/10/09 9:54am From: Cecile

Ike, the robots , feral cats and wolves will take over, so it's a moot point.

Tue. 2/10/09 9:54am From: SmokinJ

The 60's maybe :)

Tue. 2/10/09 9:56am From: risky!

hospitals!! hahah GOODMORNING YALLZ!

Tue. 2/10/09 9:56am From: Cecile

Whatever decade it is, I feel gypped.
Where is my flying car with the robot bartender mixing me perfect martinis?

Tue. 2/10/09 9:57am From: BSI

Cecile:
I'm holding out for the feral robots.
THAT will be fully awesome.

Tue. 2/10/09 9:58am From: SmokinJ

Mine's parked outside on the TelePort but my servant is rolling not stirring..

Tue. 2/10/09 9:58am From: Ike

Jesse, wow, are you at Sim's Cozy Guesthouse? That was a little polite oasis in the sinister shroud of Chengdu smoke.

Look out for this awesome hole-in-the-wall with great food:

Cecile: HA!

Tue. 2/10/09 9:59am From: Cecile

It's always 4:19 in your future, hey J?

Tue. 2/10/09 10:00am From: SmokinJ

It's always 'Time', that's all I know

Tue. 2/10/09 10:01am From: Cecile

business time

Tue. 2/10/09 10:02am From: SmokinJ

Miller Time!

Tue. 2/10/09 10:03am From: BSI

"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so."
--F. Prefect

Tue. 2/10/09 10:07am From: Jesse

I'm not sure i'm gonna find that hole in the wall but I know Sims. And i know 4:19. I totally know both of those.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:08am From: Cecile

I'm getting a big Homosexuals/electronic Todd Tamanend Clark vibe from this Gary War stuff.

coolness.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:14am From: Pete Townsend

If time is doubly illusory at lunchtime, then time spent with a double-cheeseburger at lunch is quadraphonier.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:14am From: kris thompson

i played on that Bobb Trimble track when i was 19 (please don't do the math!). awesome show, and the Gary set sounds great...

Tue. 2/10/09 10:17am From: Ike

Jesse, yeah, finding anything in Chengdu is a huge task, with the street names constantly changing and everything always getting torn down for more shopping malls and shiny new shit....

Tue. 2/10/09 10:17am From: SmokinJ

Dyno kris!

Tue. 2/10/09 10:17am From: BSI

Breakfast would be moving backwards in time.
Thus, the whole concept of BRUNCH just throws the whole shootin' match into a black hole.

Dammit I'm hungry all of a sudden.

Waiter! What time is it?!?!

Tue. 2/10/09 10:18am From: Jesse

I am cooler because of you Kris.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:19am From: Jason

Wow Kris, wish we'd had a chance to chat about that while you were here. Were you one of The Kidds?

Tue. 2/10/09 10:21am From: Steven Wright sez:

"I put instant coffee in a microwave oven and almost went back in time."

Tue. 2/10/09 10:22am From: Jesse

ha!

Tue. 2/10/09 10:23am From: steven d

right now i'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:24am From: dc pat

wasn't into this at first but now warming up to it. I'm detecting a little Syd Barrett in there...

Tue. 2/10/09 10:24am From: cedrick

i wonder about The Necks?
it's not today?

Tue. 2/10/09 10:25am From: Cecile

it is today! I thought...

Tue. 2/10/09 10:26am From: cedrick

ok !! i now understand i'm living in paris, france, so we don't have the same hour!!
i'm stupid..........

Tue. 2/10/09 10:26am From: Jason

Cedrick -- the Necks live@wfmu is today on Brian Turner's show, 3-6pm

Tue. 2/10/09 10:26am From: BSI

that last tune had me on the edge of my mess...

Tue. 2/10/09 10:27am From: still b/p

Best radio & computer simultaneous audio experience of the day so far: on the left, Gary War, and on the right, Brenda Lee "Break It To Me Gently."

Tue. 2/10/09 10:28am From: Jesse

That was great the way they played live to me and my earphones. I want more.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:33am From: Jason

Gary War's New Raytheonport LP is still available from Shdwply, and mp3s are here: http://garywar.blogspot.com/

Tue. 2/10/09 10:34am From: Jesse

Tue. 2/10/09 10:37am From: Jason

Tue. 2/10/09 10:39am From: Parq

Damn, I missed the Gary War? Stupid work duties. Hi ho, it's off to the archives I go.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:41am From: Jason

I don't think gary war is playing 2nite (correct my if i'm wrong), they played Fri (the day the interview took place) and Sat and their next show in NY is the March 7 WNYU show

Tue. 2/10/09 10:43am From: Jesse

oh thanks. This song is nice'ing me.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:51am From: GP

Jason,
Is that DJ Jassy Jess part of the Bronhard crew or was that a separate track? Had to pick up a phone call and missed some of that.

Tue. 2/10/09 10:54am From: Jason

that was a separate track. Jess stopped by with Mudboy this summer and dropped off that tape. But both mudboy and B/G/P are from Providence RI

Tue. 2/10/09 10:55am From: GP

OK, I see the updated info now..thank Jason.

Tue. 2/10/09 11:16am From: dc pat

Phew! That sore thumb tune was kickin...

Tue. 2/10/09 11:16am From: Sean Daily

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!

Tue. 2/10/09 11:40am From: Doug from DC

Ferraro and The Skaters may release a new album every two weeks, but they're all still worth hearing. I like the Chameleon Ballet track.

Tue. 2/10/09 11:52am From: luke poot
