Listener comments!

  11:15pm
Joe:

Just hangin' out with Hodg-man, huh. You lucky bastard.

That Headboys song was fucking amazing, btw.
  11:18pm
dave:

there's just nothing better in this world than kid koala.
  11:21pm
annabelle clark:

happy thankgiving you all!!! evan i loooooove this weird tune,,,,,=)=)=)
  11:22pm
dave:

oh, and efd is my mom's favorite DJ.

really.
  11:24pm
annabelle clark:

dave--everybody loves efd!!!!!!
  11:24pm
Sybil:

I agree with what Joe said.

And dave... what is it you're implying about moms, exactly?
  11:24pm
efd:

hi everyone! Dave, say hi to your Mom for me! Glad you and Annabelle are enjoying the Kid K.

Joe, agreed on The Headboys! And Johnny H. is long gone.
  11:25pm
john:

Hey Evan! Missed the show the last couple weeks--on a plane to London two weeks ago and brought a nasty little bout of food poisoning home with me in time for last Tuesday. Not as much fun as it all sounds, srsly. Great to be back!
  11:25pm
efd:

Hey John! Hey Sybil! All my old friends are back home for Thanksgiving!
  11:26pm
Joe:

My mom loves Joe Belock. But only because she wandered into the living room during his White Album stunt this afternoon. Rarely have I seen another human being so transfixed by the radio.

Ev, did you at least get a picture or some book signage action?
  11:27pm
Sybil:

Joe Belock's White Album tribute was just un-frickin-believable. Any mom would love him for that.
  11:27pm
annabelle clark:

evan,,i love kid koala also,,,please play more =)
  11:28pm
efd:

that White Album tribute was stunning. Words fail.

No pic or sig... too much going on, and I didn't want to be overly fanboyish. I did tell him my Twitter ID, though.
  11:34pm
Joe:

You realize you'll have to make that public, once we start the EFD fanclub.

But don't tell us now. My twitter schedule is booked, now that I know that I can follow CNN's own Rick Sanchez!
  11:35pm
annabelle c.:

evan,,i want you to know that you're my fave d.j,,ohhh i love this tune,,,its friggin rocks!!!
  11:38pm
efd:

Thanks, Annabelle!

to tell the truth, Joe, my Twitter ID is neither secret nor very hard to figure out.
  11:41pm
Joe:

The gauntlet is thrown, then! You all shall be forced to join my Facebook group! Muhaha
  11:46pm
neon_tetra:

good stuff! i just went for a walk & was listening on my headphones & thoroughly enjoyed the tunes. [ =
  11:48pm
annabell clark:

could you please more of kid koala 2nite & btw tom sharpling does not have the best show on fmu,,,you do evan,,,i'm serious=)
  11:48pm
listener colin in toronto:

you were in Toronto??? thats where I listen from! What brought you here and where did you buy the headboys from? gotta say, love the Best Show transitions. perfect chaser to Tom's mirth and mayhem.
  11:52pm
efd:

Hey Colin, yeah, I was there around the middle/end of Sept for a couple of Red Sox games (and my birthday!). Picked up the Headboys (and a bunch of other stuff) at Discovery on... Queen St East, I think?

Annabell, no more Kid Koala tonight.

Neon Tetra, thanks!
  11:54pm
listener colin in toronto:

Queen East! Wow. Not the tourist destination, but kinda cooler that way. Keep up the great job on the show. I came down and volunteered at the 2003 record show. Gotta do that again in the future. It was fun and Pseu gave me intros to most of the DJs (except you!).
  11:57pm
efd:

My travel companion and I actually walked all the way out there from the hotel we were staying at near Skydome (not the one actually in Skydome, but in that area). Long walk, but I enjoyed it, and was happy to not be in a very touristy area,

I wasn't yet a DJ here in 2003, so Pseu is excused for not introducing you. :)
  12:03am
annabelle c.:

well gotta scat efd,,believe me it has been my pleasure & a joy to hang with you evan!!! have a wonderfull thanksgiving,,,see you next week evan,,peace & love
  12:03am
Joe:

FMU - EFD = some crazy algebra that I can't do.

This song is destroying my brain, also. In a good way.
  12:04am
efd:

take care Annabelle, have a great Thanksgiving!
  12:04am
listener colin in toronto:

love your out of towner gusto! worth the walk. Going west on Queen also is full of discoveries. If you ever come up again, drop me a line and I would be glad to show you around. I brought Irwin up here for a fest that showed his outsider vids. Love the WFMU! Was bummed the other day cause I lost my MFU winter toque on the subway. Bah!
  12:05am
jere:

Hey efd, did you like Skydome (Rogers Centre)? I've been twice, and to me it feels like a bus station or something. Concrete and astroturf...very unnatural.
  12:09am
listener colin in toronto:

ick. skydome. just use it as spot on the map and nothing else. same with the CN tower. was there as a school kid. now it just means "South"
  12:12am
mr h:

One of the best shows you've ever done efd
  12:18am
Laurie:

I think I needed some Belle & Sebastian. It suits my current mood. :(
  12:22am
Joe:

Its just so good.
  12:23am
Joe:

Oh, pardon, I didn't see your sad emoticon.
  12:25am
efd:

why so glum, Laurie?

Hi Jere... I know what you mean re Skyd-- er, Rogers Centre, there's definitely a sterile feeling to it. It reminded me of those old multi-purpose stadiums from the 60s/70s like the Vet in Philly, even though it's much newer than that.

Colin, I will probably be back in TO for a Sox series next year, so I might just take you up on that offer.

Mr h, thanks!
  12:30am
C:

I knew this sounded familiar. Trent put together a great premium.
  12:31am
efd:

Marty McS. played that song at the beginning of his show last week while I was still in the building and I was floored!
  12:33am
efd:

I LOVE ITALO-DISCO!!!!!

there, I said it.
  12:34am
C:

You're premium's great driving music, Evan.

Some great sound effects on this albert one.
  12:35am
Joe:

Hey, I'm just glad he's repping the turbo-diesels. 96 Volkswagen Jetta bitches! Word up. etc.
  12:45am
stupidhead:

I um....have a 03 jetta TDI. Station wagon..you...uh...bitches... Yeah. Man. Woo.
  12:46am
Joe:

Mark III Jettas are garbage! Is what my gearhead friend told me!
  12:49am
efd:

I have to say, the comments page of my show is the last place i'd expect a gearhead throwdown to break out.
  12:49am
Stan not the DJ:

Did Laurie say something? This ignore function really works!
  12:50am
Joe:

So, is the Merry go-round gonna be your Beatles tribute?

I know some people knock them, but I love that album. What else is on the collection?
  12:50am
john:

But would Emitt Rhodes drive one?
  12:50am
Stan not the DJ:

Obviously, I'm kidding.
  12:51am
Joe:

based on my mental image of Emmit Rhodes, I think he DID drive one. All around the american southwest. In a tiedye shirt, with a bandanna on.
  12:53am
john:

Pictures of his garage studio are easy to find, the displaced car(s) less so.
  12:56am
john:

And you could do a whole lot worse than a Merry-Go-Round tribute. At least you wouldn't have to find covers for the dreck that makes up at least a side and a half of the White Album...
  12:58am
Joe:

Haaaaaaaaaaaaarsh man, harsh. I'm incapable of judging the White Album, or any Beatles records, really, because I've been listening to them since I was in utero. The Moody Blues too.
  1:07am
?:

Merry Go Round tribute? The Bangles did Live.
  1:16am
efd:

I'm pretty sure I've heard a cover of "Time Will Show The Wiser" too, although I can't place it right now.
  1:18am
john:

Fairport Convention. Really good, too.
  1:21am
efd:

correctamundo, John, on both counts.
  1:21am
anne:

yeah!!!!

'ello from seattle...its still "early" here.
  1:24am
efd:

hi Anne, thanks for joining in!
  1:35am
William Swan:

That song about the lip gloss by Lil' Mama will be around in 2108.
  1:44am
efd:

I don't doubt it, William!
  1:56am
efd:

thanks for listening and commenting, everyone! Have a great Thanksgiving!
  12:47am
al:

Just caught the podcast in the car on the way to work today and I hear J-Rock's mom's speech about paying for his turntables. Hilarious because I just watched that episode last night. I just got turned onto Trailer Park Boys and that was the last episode I saw. what are the odds.
