Thanks everyone for the kind words from earlier...I'm hiding under my desk right now!!
Speaking of books, has anyone read the entire Neal Stephenson "Baroque Series"? I just finished "Quicksilver" and as a novel itself the ending was totally unresolved and a bit disapointing...but maybe the whole series gets better.

Alert System Boycott:

For over half a century, we have been subjected to weekly tests of the "emergency alert system." For what purpose? We've given a lot to this intrusive "alert system," but what has it given us? When has it ever done anything useful? Never, htat's when. I suggest that all FMU DJs and all broadcast stations everywhere stage a boycott of this ugly-sounding nonsense.
  1:31pm
Scott:

Well, it did accidentally evacuate the state of Connecticut a few years ago.
  1:33pm

  1:40pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Out here in the midwest we depend on the Emergency Alert System to trigger our weather radio alarms so we know when to go outside and watch tornados rip our neighbor's homes apart.
  1:40pm
Alert:

Believe me, the EAS didn't help anyone get out of New Orleans. It's realy just another fascist tool -- miss a test and get fined ten thousand $ or lose your license. Well, I say let's tell the man to test THIS.
  1:43pm
Carmichael:

Walker Brothers!!!!!
  1:45pm

  1:57pm
