Brooklynite Josh Mease spends most of his time in a daydream nation with songs that recall no one era or genre. They simply sound like every happy memory, fond recollection, and momentary "what if?" you've ever had. Mease's recent self-titled album is a journey through the patchwork dream world he permanently inhabits, and Josh tops it all off with a voice that hints at what might have happened if Chet Baker got it on with all four Beatles.
