Listener comments!

  12:02pm
Liz B.:

Let's play a game!

Who would win in a fight: Lemmy or Courtney Love?
  12:06pm
Bad Ronald:

Lemmy
  12:11pm
north guinea hills:

after watching tank girl, i'd have to go w/ lemmy
  12:12pm
Edzo:

Lemmy would crush her like rotten grape.
  12:12pm
Brandon:

yay! Laura Logic!
Erm, Courtney is completely plastic. Lemmy is completely plastered. Either way, neither would feel much. so a long fight is inevitable.
  12:15pm
north guinea hills:

merv tribute, suite!
  12:17pm
Brandon:

Which one of these three thoroughly repulsive humans will win tonight's JEOPARDY?
  12:18pm
john:

merv griffin vs tony wilson!
  12:25pm
north guinea hills:

aristaphones vs. deleuze (barenuckled)
  12:25pm
nEGATOR:

cOURTNEY WOULD WIN. lEMMY WOULD SPEND A SHORT TIME WITH HER, THEN SHOOT HIMSELF IN THE FUCKIN' HEAD.
  12:26pm
David:

Would Lemmy have been able to defeat Kurt? I think Courtney has a better record, and more money.
  12:26pm
Listener Mike D.:

On the surface, Lemmy is the obvious choice. But then again, Courtney Love was able to bed many of the biggest names of 90s alt rock despite being a horrid sea-hag of some kind. Therefore, we can conclude that Love probably has mysterious powers beyond those of mere mortals and might prevail in a fight with Lemmy using those unknown abilities.
  12:32pm
Liz B.:

Round 2! Who would win in a fight, Gene Simmons or Ozzy?
  12:32pm
Sean Padilla:

Essential Logic is one of my favorite punk bands, so thanks for playing them! The Courtney Love of 1994 would KILL Lemmy. Unfortunately, the Courtney Love of today wouldn't stand a chance against him.
  12:34pm
Ken:

A better match would be Ozzy versus the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
  12:35pm
obscure1:

Ozzy only has his mouth going for him... and too old and abused to do much in THAT fight
  12:36pm
Sean:

Ozzy woud win. He's more, ahem, self-medicated than Gene and wouldn't feel a thing.
  12:36pm
Sean Padilla:

The first half of that Akron/Family song sounds like Pink Floyd's "Bike" set in a hootenanny! LOVE IT.
  12:46pm
Bad Ronald:

Ozzy
  12:50pm
Bad Ronald:

Rick Allen vs. Michael Stipe
  12:55pm
bwalker:

you have time for games, the show, and the playlist??

Liz.. how do you do it!
  12:56pm
john:

sharon osbourne vs gene simmons would be a fairer fight and probably more brutal.
  1:00pm
Liz B.:

Rick Allen would definitely win over Michael Stipe!
  1:06pm
Noel:

Henry Rollins Vs. Iggy Pop
  1:08pm
Bad Ronald:

Yeah I guess you're right, he assaulted his girlfriend after the accident...
  1:10pm
Bad Ronald:

Henry would win, Iggy only hurts himself.
  1:10pm
Sean:

Henry Rollins. He's younger and, if things started to go bad for him, he could always deploy The Neck.
  1:14pm
Ryan:

I would want Henry to win, but Iggy could take him out with a kick to the face while Henry is kneeling down to kiss Iggy's ass like he always does.
  1:20pm
Liz B.:

Next round! Mick Jagger vs. a badger, who wins?
  1:21pm
Bad Ronald:

Pete Townsend, (armed w/guitar) vs. Roger Daltrey, (armed w/mic)
  1:22pm
Brandon:

Mick smells worse
  1:23pm
Bad Ronald:

Depends on how big of a badger?

(Liz: I thought it's supposed to be rock stars)
  1:24pm
Liz B.:

Yeah, I cheated. Ok, how about Mick vs. Billy Idol?
  1:25pm
Bad Ronald:

Jello Biafra vs. Leonard Graves Phillips
  1:26pm
Bad Ronald:

Good one, I'd go with Billy.
  1:32pm
Pablo Diablo:

Siouxsie Sioux vs. Adam Ant?
  1:44pm
cxa:

genesis p-orridge vs. jayne county
  1:50pm
Brandon:

heh, I dare anyone to not have gender issues after watching a Jayne/Genesis throw down.
  1:57pm
cxa:

battle of the hard drives> gary glitter vs. pete townsend.
  1:57pm
Bad Ronald:

Mike Nesmith vs. Danny Partridge
  2:01pm
Bad Ronald:

Gang Fight:
Electric Light Orchestra
vs.
Earth Wind and Fire
  2:08pm
?:

peter cetera vs. michael mcdonald
  2:11pm
pat:

Johnny Thunders vs. Darby Crash
  2:17pm
Paul:

Gothic Austrailian: Birthday Party vs. Grong Grong vs. early Hunters and Collectors in sort of a "The Good Bad and the Ugly" standoff.
  2:17pm
mat stinson:

the replacements vs. tom petty & the heartbreakers
  2:23pm
Bad Ronald:

Handsome Dick Manitoba vs. Lee Ving
  2:24pm
Capt. Lou:

"Dirty" Dick Murdock vs. Man Mnt. Dean
  2:28pm
Liz B.:

Fashion showdown: Davie Bowie vs. Boy George!
  2:32pm
Bad Ronald:

Jerry Lee Lewis vs. Phil Spector

(Liz: Thanks for helping the afternoon fly by, I'm getting pretty good at math too!)
  2:47pm
north guinea hills:

hmmmm.... a austrialian-mexican standoff, gneisse!
  2:49pm

  2:52pm
scotch:

  2:54pm
jeremy:

hey liz, i'm looking for the Emergency Alert System tone. want to make it a ringtone. any chance you could email it to me?

mmm that ringtone would be awesome
  2:56pm
Liz B.:

Ok, Jeremy, I'll try to get you an MP3 this week!
  3:00pm
Ken:

Sorry Liz and Jeremy - I have to veto that EAS tone delivery. The Man doesn't allow us to have any fun with that tone at all.
  3:23pm
Sean:

Darn the man! Darn the man to HEEEEEEEEEEEECK!
  3:26pm
Liz B.:

D'oh, after I typed that I figured The Man would be proprietary over his EAS tones... Maybe you could do a cover version, Sean.
  3:45am
ruben:

i don't know about all this fist fighting stuff, but i'd like to see ozzy in a hot dog eating contest, except his hot dogs are shaped like... bats. am i too late for this game?
