	👻 1:23pm chris in the redwoods: i hate/love sticky traps here in the redwoods. they just work. i put the little guys in a sealed plastic bag and they take the big sleep. less trauma than a kitters playing with them, i reckon. but dang, they're all cute n stuff. its hard. when they fall in the tub and get stuck, i scoop them up and set them free outside. clearly i'm conflicted. :)

That way I could just pick up the string and throw it in the trash without actually touching the poor thing. (Our current place almost never gets mice, much to the chagrin of our cat!)

	1:34pm wimpy: I pretty much gave up on getting rid of my mice because sticky traps were too traumatizing and it’s all my landlord would do about it. However, I was cleaning my kitchen the other day and found a whole onion and head of garlic behind my fridge, so I threw those away and haven’t seen a mouse since. It’s been like a month at this point. Probably not what’s happening with you guys though

	1:37pm wimpy: Funny story about the mice in my apartment, we were using non lethal traps but the mice found out how to get out of them. It got to the point where when we would load them with bait, the mouse would hear us fucking with it and scurry out to eat it’s new treat before we even put it back down lol. It thought we were bros and were just using the traps to feed it!

	1:46pm coelacanth∅: ↳ chris in the redwoods @1:36 i had mice in my last 2 apartments. sealing the place was impossible. i used a cage trap with cheap peanut butter and relocate them at least 3 miles away -often 6 or more (depended which way i was going) people told me they'd die outside because they're spoiled (basically). ...so? - i gave them a chance. when there was snow on the ground i left food with them and left them either behind a supermarket, or in a wood pile. there are not other options. i won't live with mouse shit in the house and throwing out food that's been chewed open. the landlord would put poison out, which would kill the mice and probably other animals that'd eat them.

However, I was cleaning my kitchen the other day and found a whole onion and head of garlic behind my fridge, so I threw those away and haven’t seen a mouse since. It’s been like a month at this point. Probably not what’s happening with you guys though

	1:46pm coelacanth∅: ↳ chris in the redwoods @1:36 i had mice in my last 2 apartments. sealing the place was impossible. i used a cage trap with cheap peanut butter and relocate them at least 3 miles away -often 6 or more (depended which way i was going) people told me they'd die outside because they're spoiled (basically). ...so? - i gave them a chance. when there was snow on the ground i left food with them and left them either behind a supermarket, or in a wood pile. there are not other options. i won't live with mouse shit in the house and throwing out food that's been chewed open. the landlord would put poison out, which would kill the mice and probably other animals that'd eat them.

I refuse to use it because it is so easy to get stuck. When I ask "why don't we get gravel tires" I'm told "that would cost as much as the price of the forklift" based on absoultely nothing other than a guess.
