I had a 6' rat snake come out of the wall and knock stuff off a shelf in the bathroom this evening. Then it went back into its hole. Animal control and police assure me it's harmless, and it will eat the mice that are also in that wall.

Butter, seen here in my profile photo, recently had to have two teeth pulled. The cost was staggering. But, he needed it done. Dental disease can be a serious medical condition for anyone with teeth. He has kidney disease and asthma. I am already in for an arm and a leg with this little guy.

our cat squeakers has had his teeth cleaned three times in the last three years. he would eat and then his head would shake and his tongue fling out, so he was in discomfort. last time they removed two teeth. including his pre-surgery visit and then the surgery etc the next day it was 1,200 dollars. but it's hard to put a price on his comfort and happiness.

we had a siamese with asthma. vet just gave us steroids for her but i researched and got an erokat inhaler and then we got the generic flonase (fluticisone? flixotide?) shipped from england. steroids were cheaper but she got fat on them.

Absolutely! The veterinary societies confirmed what a lot of us already knew, that neutered FIV cats aren't a danger to other kitties in a home. Mingus is a bit of a king bee, though. He may happily ignore/tolerate another cat in the home.
