Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm

Its important to listen to all the tracks in a 78 mindset. That way you don't let a 78 slip past ya

Ideally, all bands should perform behind chicken wire irregardless of genre. Ya hear that Taylor Swift.

I think I'm the idiot for not realizing 78 rpm singles are 7". I haven't gotten out a turntable since I moved -- to the Delaware Valley, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm

All I've ever known of...but could they not press a 7" at 78rpm? As a matter of physics?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:24pm

Our turntable has only 33 and 45 settings. 16s and 78s are denied us.

Which is HUGE in a 45.

Anybody know another case where something's measured like that to include dead space? Even film and audio tape are measured in linear footage, not by the size of the reel itself.

This one’s been in rattling around in my grey matter for years, but I can’t seem to locate the name or the singer. I just remember a single verse. I'd be much obliged if you could tell me the song and singer…

And lots of paint thinner,

Like in a car engine, what's measured is displacement, not the total volume of the cylinders including the dead space.
