Dale: My hearing is not gone but partially ruined. Constant ringing. I wear a hearing aid in one ear, often. I have a niece who specializes in sign language. I may need to ask her help someday. (I played in loud bands.)

Second Bryce's marbles in a blender, but it's kind of an inside joke.
Then the "eat flaming death fascist media pigs". This one is a go-to whenever there's a TV crew at work, though Ken's "trust us it's music" is a good substitute

when i played at main drag, one of my friends gave me a chocolate tinidate scorpion chili (more capsaicin than a ghost pepper/chocolate b/c it's brown/purplish in color, not flavor). i ate it in front of him w/o skipping a beat (couldn't have done that a decade ago).
