Amazing, right, Andrew in Toronto! The team offered birthday parties at the stadium. Held on the field before the game. They also offered to have a member of the team join the party. I received a ball, signed by every member of the team. Among the signatures was that of the team's then manager, Hall of Famer Ted Williams. Of course, I went home and immediately played with the ball with my pals and all the signatures rubbed right off. Oh well!

Since today is Friday the 13th, a friend recently told me how he pranked a foreign exchange student in high school in Houston. On Friday the 13th, he told the student that tomorrow was a special holiday called “Penny Day.” You were supposed to get about 50 pennies and then go up to people on the street, hand them a penny and say “Happy Penny Day.” When they got back to school on Monday and my friend asked him about his weekend, the student looked at him balefully. “Not everyone like Penny Day,” he said.
