I was discussing awkward dining experiences with a friend last night. About 50 years ago, he was invited to meet his then-girlfriend’s parents for the first time. So he went over and rang the doorbell. “Dad” opened the door and gave him the once-over twice, as my friend was a longhair. He went in and they made small talk while Dad grilled steaks. When they were served, my friend stabbed his steak with his fork and it skittered onto the floor. Without looking, he pointed towards the window and exclaimed “Hey, look at that!” He put the steak back on his plate, and saw that “Mom” was blushing and “Dad” was glowering at him fiercely. When he looked out the window, he saw two dogs mating on the lawn.

Oh, hey Tim, it's going alright. It is a real adjustment but I knew it would be. I'm focusing on getting my place together, making it homey, and getting back into the groove here so to speak. I have to look at what is coming up musically and start making planzss. I hope all is well with you--how's life treating ya' down there? I bet you have beautiful falls. Are you by the Mississippi? YPO was a radical leftist organization made up of poor whites who had moved to Chicago from Appalachia and other parts South. They were frustrated with lack of jobs, substandard housing and mistreatment at the hands of the Chicago PD and ultimately banded together with radical Black and Puerto Rican orgs. I think some of those people are still around, though obviously getting pretty old.
