THis reminds me of a story Paul Anka was telling in an interview with comedian Bill Burr about his time in Poland in the 1960s. He was about to perform when he heard on the radio about JFK's death. Anka recalled how Polish people were sympathetic towards him about JFK's passing. Seems like they really liked JFK.
