WFMU schedule transitions / Curios: the DJ’s must have some control on what slot they are given, as each one must have some restriction on when they are available to broadcast. This must be getting all sorted out well in advance to the rescheduling. Still, it appears that some DJ’s are surprised where they are slotted ?! Hhhmmm.
(Is it like a lottery on a few pre-given options?)

anyway, re the schedule — Twice a year, about a month before the schedule changes, all DJs who are interested in being on the air for the upcoming schedule period (whether they're currently on air or not) submit a form indicating which timeslots they are available for/interested in doing. Ken reviews the submissions and makes the new schedule.
