Hi Therese and All, I just returned from two weeks traveling in California. Some of our friends saw Paul Williams live in southern California at a Christian Korean college. They managed to sneak into the VIP section to talk and get a photo with him. They went to the same high school as him which gave them something to say to him. I love Phantom of the Paradise, incidentally. I saw it a couple of years ago at the Roxy theater in Manhattan.

Hi RevRab, I wish the recently closed for renovations Lebanon Opera House would try screening a few other culty alternative type films. I missed the screening of “Labyrinth” when they played it there. But seeing the free well attended screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was a pretty fun time with a mostly nostalgic (yet mixed generational) audience.
Btw: Why the heck is LOH doing renovations Now?! (Imo, the timing on that is way way questionable!).

I dunno. I've seen Roger McGuinn, Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson there - but seems to me they've just gotten more middle class & boring in recent years. Tho this weekend was a big free outdoors thing I saw Jazz & African Kora & stuff for free right on my block... Not sure what they think they need to renovate - seemed in tidy repair to me.

Erik (VT):

↳ Revolution Rabbit Nov63 @10:52
Re LOH repairs & renovations, indeed.
Seemed fine to me, yet perhaps there are issues we aren’t aware of… 🤷‍♂️.
They usta book slightly better acts more regularly awhile ago (but not by much). It seems like lots of wasted opportunities to me. But I’m sure if I had my preferred dream choices fulfilled… they’d have low attendance and alotta patrons scratching their heads.🙄👏🤘😉

Wull smalltown North NewEngland is a strange situation culturally. NewEngland identifies as intellectual in many respects ...but then again the whole point of being North of NorthEast of Nowhere is to be away from actual Culture in the Woods & Hills ...then again Time Marches On for everyone everywhere...

As we hear from DJ ‘Wendy del 🧀’, Brattleboro is having some pretty exciting happenings via Epsilon Spires venue. (& I surely recommend trying Next Stage in Putney,VT) = Some good vibe’s percolating there. Musically, theatrically, & visually (some films & documentaries).
