- & also, & almost separately as an Elektrik Gittarist he had a completely unique approach relating to his gifts as Abstract Expressionist Oil Painter. Like - just in 'Lucifer Sam' he elicits quite a few different evocations of Cat Sounds - while still being basically Musical. I don't know anyone else ever did quite the same thing - with his contemporary Hendrix being the nearest parallel (& Syd owing considerably less to Jimi than - essentially everybody else ...& tho Hendrix is distinguished by innumerable other aspects of course...)
