It was more about the playing style as I recall. Hawaiians embraced steel and electric guitars.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:13am
Edgar from Maine:

"There are several variations of the “frying pan”, which include the A-22 and A-25 models. The A-22, which this guitar is, was slightly shorter than the A-25. The A-22 and A-25 came in silver, aluminum and gold finishes. Hawaiian music was all the rage in the early 20th century. The Hawaiian teenager named Joseph Kekuku is said to have invented the lap steel guitar in the late 19th century. Prior to the 1932 production of the A-22, the guitar was referred to as the Ro-Pat-In Electro Hawaiian Guitar."

I don't know about everybody being happy nowadays, that seems like a false narrative to bully one's self with emotional FOMO.

During the summertime especially when I am perceived as a man of nothing but leisure, it takes work to make sure that I am happy and content.

Even though my back is a bit jacked, taking some time to cuddle with my Luna golden doodle, all 70 pounds of her Muppet love, after preventing her from stretching with me (in, on, below, in between), and the infinite sadness that created in her, reminds me to enjoy what I can within my day.
