There are lots of artists who mix electronics with ethnic instruments -- including Luis Perez (on now). The electronics could certainly be considered just one more element, not the defining ingredient -- but I wanted something to tie my three grand-prize items together, so I decided to call the Robert Laneri album electronic, since it kind of is. (Forgive me!)
