"Punk Ideology" from the 1970s seems so quaint in 2023. One musical genre is "angry" at another musical genre as a statement. I think younger people would like "punk vs. prog" to be an "important" problem in 2023 considering what else they're dealing with.

50 years from now when we're all in the ground, the ideology, statements, haircuts, and punk clothing won't make a difference. All that will remain is the great music. And it will be judged just on that.

Andrew Powell (Ladyhawke) conducted the orchestra here. Also the English Chorale. The wild voices at the end were a lead-in to Dr. Tarr & Professor Feather.

In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 as No Answer, after a misunderstood telephone message made by a United Artists Records executive asking about the album name;[1] the caller, having failed to reach the ELO contact, wrote down "no answer" in his notes, and this was misconstrued to be the name of the album.
