	9:58pm Meesalikeu: Young People are a minimalist rock outfit with members based in New York and California. The original lineup of the band included vocalist Katie Eastburn, percussionist Jarrett Silberman, and guitarist Jeff Rosenberg (formerly of Pink and Brown).The three began playing together in what they thought was going to be a country band, but with Rosenberg's backgrounds in noisy and textural guitar playing with Pink and Brown, the trio's music soon became something more expansive.

Beginning her career in the mid-1960s, she released her debut album, Just Another Diamond Day, in 1970. The album sold very few copies and Bunyan, discouraged, abandoned her musical career. By 2000, her album had acquired a cult following; it was re-released and Bunyan recorded more songs, initiating the second phase of her musical career after a gap of thirty years.She subsequently released two more albums: Lookaftering in 2005, and Heartleap in 2014.

	10:25pm ron-ji: Re Vashti: I thought I was pretty familiar with her saga, but I had no idea she’d been a product of the Great British Girl Pop Singer Machine of the mid60s before recording her radically different solo albums. That single was great! Can’t wait to hear the rest of the compilation it’s on. And I didn’t recognize the song, but some quick searching reveals it’s a Mann/Weill composition that was recorded by lots of acts around that time. Did anyone have a hit with it? It’s a gem!

Georgia Hubley needs no introduction, especially around these parts. But when she's not drumming and singing in the one and only Yo La Tengo, Georgia dons the moniker Little Black Egg. A loose, improvisatory project that delivers an almost liminal version of that special something that she so deftly brings to YLT, Little Black Egg will be rounded out with Ira Kaplan for a special live, in-the-studio performance on Burn It Down! Friday, May 3.
Fri. May 10th, 9pm - Midnight: Choncy (More info...)
Part of the Queen City's takeover of the punk underground, Cincinnati's Choncy excel at the sort of tough, tight punk that is informed as much by arty DiY post-punk as it is by the standard-bearers of hardcore. Throw in some righteous anger and a little psych damage, and you have a real winner. Nate K. is proud to welcome Choncy to the show for a live performance on Friday, May 10.
