@ bonbob- F/i is an all time great band. We’d play them on WFBE in Flint. Plasticland too!

F/i is great for zoning out going to sleep AND rocking out.

Rod Poitra reminds me of the only f/i vocal track I know of- Stop to the Left

So - if the over-arching Theme of the Challenge for African-Americans has been Kidnap & Slavery
- for the First Nations' peoples it's been Genocide - & continual & progressing Relocation. The mythology being that they've already been eliminated. In fact less integrated than even the AfricanAmericans ?
They Shall Remain.

The Supreme Court is hearing Brackeen v. Haaland next month - a case that challenges the constitutionality of ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) created to address the epidemic of Native children being forcibly removed from their families and placed into non-Native homes. This challenge is evidence of the continued genocide of Native Peoples by eliminating the culture through the removal of Native children from their families.

@frank: that works too. i once suggested to a wisconsin school district that had a "red men" name/mascot, that all they needed to do was replace the First Nations iconography with marx, lenin, stalin, and mao, and they'd be all good to go. no reply. i was crushed.

A little observation. On of the big differences between the non-commercial stations in the United States and Canada is the Natives are more likely to hit the charts there. Tanya Tagaq is currently topping the electronic charts there, while for 2021, the Halluci Nation was at number two college radio and number one electronic. Why can't our non-commercial stations be more like that?
