We haven't had much rain in the last few weeks up until like this last weekend. Today's also my mom's birthday! A couple of days ago, I took her to Floyd Bennett Field and then Rockaway Park for some beach time. It's too bad Dead Horse Bay is closed because of small levels of radiation being detected. We also ate at such a legit Italian restaurant called Rocco's of Rock Beach. And in transit-oriented development style, it was not only near the beach but right by the train station!

The drought indicators are always a little worse down there than compared to the rest of the state, and I think especially so closer to the beaches and way south but could be wrong. The Press of AC has a great meteorologist named Joe Martucci. We even went to Rutgers at the same time. He does a podcast with a climatologist too.

Biked over the Bear Mountain Bridge and caught the train back at Manitou, a really interesting barebones station in this very peaceful area with some houses and a lot of nature. I was doing a warmup ride to prepare for the mountain I want to bike up just outside of Golden when I'm in Denver later this week for my brother's stag party. I leave on Amtrak tomorrow! And one more thing. I recently found out about an old-time radio show on WBAI Sundays at 8 p.m. and listened last night. So much fun! Have a great week everyone!

A couple of days ago, I took her to Floyd Bennett Field and then Rockaway Park for some beach time. It's too bad Dead Horse Bay is closed because of small levels of radiation being detected. We also ate at such a legit Italian restaurant called Rocco's of Rock Beach. And in transit-oriented development style, it was not only near the beach but right by the train station!
