I noticed when Clay filled in for Joe McG the Monday before last (6 hours straight on-air), the playlist choices for the McGasko slot were much closer to Clay's playlist choices when he did a show before WnB years ago. -- So it got me wondering, is there some separate distinctive song selection philosophy that goes into WnB show building? I imagine so. I wonder if it's 100% up to Clay to pick good morning-show selections totally on his own? Or, are there oral or written guidelines? SMK is "executive producer," and sometimes EP means general oversight, but sometimes it means more granular show input. Just wondering!! Good show today, as always...

Marcus Garvey was an early-20th century Black leader and holds the distinction, even up to a century later, of leading “the largest mass movement in African-American history”. He is also recognized as the founder of Rastafarianism, the religion which Bob Marley adhered to, even though he didn’t sport dreadlocks himself. The aforementioned quote centered on Garvey basically putting the onus on his people to ‘free their own minds’ as they had already been, rather-freshly, freed from physical bondage of slavery. Thus Marley is putting forth a similar idea, that it is up to them to ‘emancipate themselves’ from being held down by a detrimental mode of thinking, which can be further said to have been picked up during the days of slavery. In other words, yes, the leaders of the world may possess the wherewithal to construct world-destroying weapons, but ultimately they are just playing their role in the divine grand scheme of things. He's been my favorite guitarist ever since> I saw Rory & his band blow Rush off the stage (IMO) out in Denver in 1980. Rory did his opening set & left the stage. Rush had some kind of issue with a projection computer & Geddy came out to apologize & tell us they were helicoptering another computer in from TX. A huge popcorn fight ensued, fun. After about 15 minutes Rory & band came back out & rocked the house for another hour until Rush could get going. Great show

They fired the laser up which was aimed right between my friend and my heads. It expanded into a tunnel and then began to spin with us and everyones arms shooting thru inside the wall of the laser tunnel. It then began to spin. Me and my friend were tripping inside the spinning laser tunnel shooting out of the bass drum. Good times!

It's amazing thinking back to being a kid and melting down for the rest of the night, when I didn't ace the final hole, the hole where you usually get a free game or the ball just falls into a trap, and it still taking almost three decades for someone to realize I'm autistic. I still enjoy mini golf at the beach from time to time and have gotten much better at not melting down. There's a little place on the Atlantic City boardwalk in front of Boardwalk Hall that I try going to when I'm down there. It's too bad the indoor mini-golf place that was in the former Caesars pier closed. That pier was renamed to The Playground and has sat almost completely abandoned, despite being open, and looks the same way it did like a decade ago, but with it being dead inside. Such a weird experience.

He's been my favorite guitarist ever since> I saw Rory & his band blow Rush off the stage (IMO) out in Denver in 1980. Rory did his opening set & left the stage. Rush had some kind of issue with a projection computer & Geddy came out to apologize & tell us they were helicoptering another computer in from TX. A huge popcorn fight ensued, fun. After about 15 minutes Rory & band came back out & rocked the house for another hour until Rush could get going. Great show

They fired the laser up which was aimed right between my friend and my heads. It expanded into a tunnel and then began to spin with us and everyones arms shooting thru inside the wall of the laser tunnel. It then began to spin. Me and my friend were tripping inside the spinning laser tunnel shooting out of the bass drum. Good times!

It's amazing thinking back to being a kid and melting down for the rest of the night, when I didn't ace the final hole, the hole where you usually get a free game or the ball just falls into a trap, and it still taking almost three decades for someone to realize I'm autistic. I still enjoy mini golf at the beach from time to time and have gotten much better at not melting down. There's a little place on the Atlantic City boardwalk in front of Boardwalk Hall that I try going to when I'm down there. It's too bad the indoor mini-golf place that was in the former Caesars pier closed. That pier was renamed to The Playground and has sat almost completely abandoned, despite being open, and looks the same way it did like a decade ago, but with it being dead inside. Such a weird experience.
