Is the cooling fan for the car activating when the temp gauge on the dash hits it's mark? You can methodically check these things. Some less than scrupulous mechanic types might sell you a compressor for big bucks WITHOUT checking for leaks in the system. All are possibilities. 	7:42am dday: @Queems: do you hear the a/c compressor actually start? Usually an audible click. If not maybe a blown A/C fuse ? Bad Relay? Is the cooling fan for the car activating when the temp gauge on the dash hits it's mark? You can methodically check these things. Some less than scrupulous mechanic types might sell you a compressor for big bucks WITHOUT checking for leaks in the system. All are possibilities. I've been a fix it guy for years but from this didtsance that's the best I can do. Good Luck. We're running Mef (my girls) Honda Civic since 2004..great vehile..140,000 miles so far
