	♥ 9:52am YETI BOB: Interesting science fact. Per cubic meter (or foot or whatever you prefer), the energy produced by the Sun is less than the energy produced by a compost heap. The nuclear reactions are not happening at a very high rate, mostly the atoms avoid each other, the reactions are rare. It's only because the Sun is SO HUGE that it puts out such a high total energy flux.

They all noticed that the package was warm to the touch, it was generating heat, like a little box with a warm furry kitten in it. Then I told them what it was: a loaf of bread that I had brought home, put away, and forgotten about. The heat was being produced by the metabolic activity of the mold that was growing on the bread.

The nuclear reactions are not happening at a very high rate, mostly the atoms avoid each other, the reactions are rare. It's only because the Sun is SO HUGE that it puts out such a high total energy flux.

They all noticed that the package was warm to the touch, it was generating heat, like a little box with a warm furry kitten in it. Then I told them what it was: a loaf of bread that I had brought home, put away, and forgotten about. The heat was being produced by the metabolic activity of the mold that was growing on the bread.
