Finland is the only Scandinavian state yet toured. Michael: Goblin is doing some better! Basically, if he gets through today with appetite and without vomiting, he is, hopefully, in the clear. I just gave him some more food, and he ate it all and asked for more (we're giving him just a little bit every three hours instead of normal meals). So that's a good sign! Still monitoring, but the vet sent the X-rays to a radiologist for consultation, and they thought that the Foreign Object should pass through. So we are guardedly optimistic! Now we need his brother to get over the nonrecognition aggression! Hey, Stanley.

It was believed that if crowded, stuffy tenement buildings were heated to absolute Satan's Nutsack temperatures...people would open their windows and get fresh ice-cold air circulating through their quarters. It WORKED. It STILL works. All through the plague, even in the dead of the worst, coldest, dampest February, people dropped in in-window ventilation fans to strike a balance between the blasting furnace of the steam heat and something resembling normal. I put on my little 3-fan drop in unit every night.

In fact the pronunciation of Russian is mostly strongly predictable from the spelling, give or take a few quirky rules -- much more so than the guttural sneeze we call English, for example.

He will suckle at my finger for 15 mins. straight if I let him. The vet was really worried at first that it wasn't moving through him at all and that it might block his intestines, but we're hoping now that it's moving. His energy is much better (though still lower than normal, and the poor wee thing has really been through the wringer), and his appetite is sharp. So we're hopeful. And hopeful to avoid the emergency vet, ultrasound, surgery, bankruptcy, etc.

I still pay them my $45 every year because years ago before Healthcare Exchange their minimal insurances saved my ass. They have all kinds of special insurances, programs, etc. I don't think they do health insurance anymore but IIRC they still do pet insurance.

I just gave him some more food, and he ate it all and asked for more (we're giving him just a little bit every three hours instead of normal meals). So that's a good sign! Still monitoring, but the vet sent the X-rays to a radiologist for consultation, and they thought that the Foreign Object should pass through. So we are guardedly optimistic! It was believed that if crowded, stuffy tenement buildings were heated to absolute Satan's Nutsack temperatures...people would open their windows and get fresh ice-cold air circulating through their quarters. It WORKED. It STILL works. All through the plague, even in the dead of the worst, coldest, dampest February, people dropped in in-window ventilation fans to strike a balance between the blasting furnace of the steam heat and something resembling normal. I put on my little 3-fan drop in unit every night.

He will suckle at my finger for 15 mins. straight if I let him. The vet was really worried at first that it wasn't moving through him at all and that it might block his intestines, but we're hoping now that it's moving. His energy is much better (though still lower than normal, and the poor wee thing has really been through the wringer), and his appetite is sharp. So we're hopeful. And hopeful to avoid the emergency vet, ultrasound, surgery, bankruptcy, etc.
