I can't get my drummer friend who studied under Max Roach to listen. Both his uncles played accordians in Polka bands. His mother traveled in full costume as a polish dancer.

I use to be human, until they made me into a can of chili, They seem to do that a lot they do. Oh I don't know, maybe I am still human just full of chili. I NEVER KNOW ANYMORE! On a side note if you lose it you can always find it again.

DJLorraine, in my experience, things skip a generation or two. For instance, my grandmother was born in the US just barely, but her mother in Poland/Germany. My grandmother didn't learn any Polish dishes at all, she taught my mother to make spaghetti and meat balls. But then, I became completely enamored by Polish cuisine, eating across the street from me at the Baltyk (1st and 1st) So the upshot is, your friend has to have a kid or nephew/niece. <G>
