	4:03pm cal: Lennon wrote a song, Instant Karma. I think it was about psychedelics. Ram Dass, used to say that psychedelics open things up so fast and the hard work is doing it without psychedelics. He was a partner with Tim Leary in the old LSD days! This is a very different time now. Sheila, you are right. Maybe we should pay more attention to living in the present!!

I have found these substances kind of shake the snow globe of the mind.

	4:04pm Rick G: I did my share of mushrooms and acid in the 80’s and 90’s, before a pivot to meditation around 1994. I’d never rule out microdosing, however. In the meantime I’ll stick to the cushion.

	4:07pm vanya moscow: Oh, I got so much to say about guitar teaching. I'm a guitar player and once in a while i teach. And I always had the opposite problem - people want to be led and shown one way. And I, though I had formal education, never really trusted it and was always like "follow your gut feeling" kinda, and always respected self-taught artists. So go ahead and just do it. So many people play guitar "the right way" - nobody cares about them. I trust little weird own approach that might lead to a unique style

	♥ 4:12pm DL in LA: I discovered the same thing about not journaling on lined paper! I used to use these bound lab notebooks with really small graph paper which was not constraining at all. Now I just dictate my journal entries into an app called Day One.

It fits in with a book I am reading called Folk Horror Revival Volume 2:Sweet Fruits, concerning music that has certain influences in film, literature and sounds, including Broadcast, Sharron Krauss, Incredible String Band and many others. I just started it, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Movietone connection somewhere in the book.
	4:13pm Rob Kopp: Ted Hawkins tuned his guitar in such a way he could just put his finger (wearing a glove!) on the same position/fret of every string (ah, how do I explain this clearly). But ofcourse his voice was his true instrument.

He was a partner with Tim Leary in the old LSD days! This is a very different time now. Sheila, you are right. Maybe we should pay more attention to living in the present!!

I have found these substances kind of shake the snow globe of the mind.

And I, though I had formal education, never really trusted it and was always like "follow your gut feeling" kinda, and always respected self-taught artists. So go ahead and just do it. So many people play guitar "the right way" - nobody cares about them. I trust little weird own approach that might lead to a unique style

It fits in with a book I am reading called Folk Horror Revival Volume 2:Sweet Fruits, concerning music that has certain influences in film, literature and sounds, including Broadcast, Sharron Krauss, Incredible String Band and many others.
